On the A-side we find the legendary Big Bud, who has been releasing since 1994 on GLR, Creative Source and many more, remixing 'The Last Ceremony' by Paul SG. Lovely chords, interesting drum rhythms and a smooth bassline, it's like you're watching a live show at a smokey jazz cafe!

On the flip Ambra Recordings head honcho Emery teams up with Valentina Yaron, a vocalist who graduated from the Lithuanian academy of Music and Theater specializing in jazz. 'The Chance' is an impressive gloomy piece of music that just rolls effortlessly exploring the deeper sides of atmospheric drum & bass. Once again top notch stuff coming from the Ambra camp, don't sleep on it!

I'm pretty open-minded, at least I'd like to think.

Sequent is a DJ and producer from Vienna/Austria who developed her interest in music in her early teenage years, and is now known for her more deep liquid, and techier, darker flavours. 

She started collecting vinyl at the age of 14 and just two years later she discovered her love for mixing.
While expanding the collection and more and more practice the first official DJ gig in Vienna came up. 

Ever since then she played many gigs in Austria, such as ‘Mainframe’, ‘Beat it’ & Upgrade at FLEX, ‘Kolo Rave’ with the Error crew or ‘Drumfabrik’ in Upper Austria and had her first few international appearances in the UK, CzechRepublic,Slovakia, Germany & Spain.

She gained more and more notoriety with her mainly deep, dark and tech- driven sets and her sharp mixing skills which led to an interview and guestmix on the inafamous Slovakian radio show ‘Signall_FM’.

In 2022 she was also listed as one of UKF’s ‘One’s to Watch 2022.

With releases on Blu Saphir, Mainframe Recordings, Deep Within Recordings, I.D Bogota Music & PTRNS she got support from the likes of Camo & Krooked, DJ Marky, Alibi, Dossa & Locuzzed, HLZ, Arkaik & many more. 

In January 2020 Sequent and Vienna based DJ Aras launched their new monthly mix-series project ‘Sunday Sessions’ showcasing their favorite tunes in Drum and Bass.

She’s also part of a female bass music collective named AMI|KAL that she founded together with Aras,  Jalen Mess & Sarah Allen in 2020.

Fresh out of Eastern Europe, Ambra is a label from a different side of drum and bass. Founded by Emery, a long-time producer and mastering engineer from Lithuania, this label features talent from home and abroad, developing the local scene and making contact with the world. 

The upcoming releases promise to show a deep, clean, stylish approach, away from the crazy arenas of London, hidden in the borderlands of Europe and beyond. Taking influence from the long history of drum and bass, through highlights such as Dillinja, Roni Size, Goldie, High Contrast and Lynx, Emery is determined to keep an adult flavour and promote polished productions.
