From the beginning, it was important to us to provide a platform for new and emerging artists – and up until this tenth compilation, we’re proud to say that no artist appeared more than once. For this special occasion, we're breaking with that tradition and have invited several long-time companions to join us in shaping this moment.

This remix breathes deep within the atmospheric niche of downtempo and melodic deep house — a genre that relies less on maximalist impact and more on subtlety, tension, and immersive groove.

Production & Atmosphere:
From the first few bars, the production is immediately cinematic. Layers of ethereal pads hover in a warm stereo field, drawing you into a hazy, almost meditative space. The mix boasts a remarkable balance: each element — whether it’s a crisp hi-hat pattern or a slow-burning synth swell — feels intentional, placed with an ear for both space and texture.

The remixers, Bianco & Schlemann, are clearly versed in restraint. They stretch the dynamics patiently, never rushing the progression. Percussion elements are minimal but meaningful — a syncopated rim, an understated kick — and they serve the greater mood rather than dominate it.

Melodic Content:
Melodically, “Contour” feels like it was sculpted rather than written. Subtle motifs drift in and out, often more hinted at than stated. This impressionistic approach keeps the listener engaged — it’s music for both the dancefloor and introspection. The remix isn’t about hooks; it’s about contouring emotional space, staying true to the title’s namesake.

Remix Interpretation:
Bianco & Schlemann don't overhaul the original; they distill it. They pull it through a lens of smoky lounge vibes and subdued psychedelia, adding just enough rhythmic propulsion to make it club-worthy without losing its ambient core. It’s the kind of track you’d expect to hear at sunrise on a Tulum beach or tucked deep into a Berlin after-hours set.

This song was born from a place of deep respect. It was inspired by the powerful story and authentic voice of the incredible North Dallas artist, Kartel Don. We see this as an artistic dialogue, an attempt to bridge two different worlds with one shared human story.
