PREMIERE: Moogie Fox - Star Twinkles At Ceres

The first track “Friday Suspense” was made around 2/3 years ago and has a melody ive been holding on to for quite a while now. I was always hoping to have it see the light of day and now it has! 🌞

“Beat Bounce” first started as a drum/tool track, then I made this fun little synth and it ended up being a bit of a crowd pleaser.

“Beeps” was one of those tracks Ive always wanted to make. A simple modulating synth, a four four jungly break and lots of weird beeps over the top. 🥁

Jigsaw Mind - Dance Trax Vol. 40 - UTTU

Today we a premiere a track from Welsh native Maroki who joins the Running Out Of steam team for a six track EP of eclectic grooves, from breaks to moon-lit acid. ‘Alfred Stole My Brain’ is tranquil ceremony of electronics which is both welcoming and meditative, but maintains a functional dance-floor vibe.

Originally from West Wales now residing in Amsterdam in a studio nestled beside the river Ij, Maroki now joins the ROOS family following a string of stellar releases.

Maroki leaves nothing to chance, using his classically trained skills and expertly engineered sounds into a pool of influences that range from breaks, moon-lit acid and heads-down chuggy goodness.

The now Amsterdam based producer has put the down and grafted in the studio for this release, pulling inspiration from various places and pulling out a mixed bag of goodies for his debut on Running Out Of Steam.

‘Alfred stole my brain’ poses as a swarm of warm and inviting melodies, gliding flanges, deep bass and blissful harmonics, but stays dance-floor ready with crisp and poignant drum work. This is a real delight from the Welsh man.

This is SNGVA004 Capital of Peace, Love and Unity, the latest in Sengiley Recordings series of VA compilations. Ten super fresh tracks deviating from the 4-to-the-floor milieu, showcasing Sengiley’s passion for all things breakbeat.

Up first is L&F, offering us some bass laden UKG badness, followed by Cabale with a tasty slice of piano and pad infused 2-step. Awlies comes through on a sublime and magical breakbeat tip, while Helter lands some twisted yet delightful breaks and bass business. Neathway & Alter hit the halfway mark of the compilation: a tidy piece of jungle action reminiscent of the genres 90s heyday. Up next is Withheld producing a soulful yet energetic drum and bass stunner, followed by Charleeps with a transcendent and acidy yet melancholic electro-breakbeat number. Aevasyon delivers some gorgeous, retro-tinged breakbeat vibes and Talihatta brings the energy down with some clever and subtle downtempo.
