After releasing his debut album Ineffable on Local Action this year, DJ Q returns with a collaborative single with Butterz' Flava D. 

No one has nailed the middle ground between garage, grime and bassline better than these two in recent years, so we're psyched to have them collaborating. PS comes days after Q and D played back to back at legendary UK rave Sidewinder with MC Kie, and will be followed by an extended EP and a succession of DJ dates together, including Fabric on November 21.

More on those dates later - til then, this is two of the UK's finest at the top of their game.

Pressure on A1 makes a grand opening statement, followed with the brooding but bumping Envy. On the B side, Damn showcases Fennecs talent for ear worm baselines, and lastly Cruise rounds it out with some sonic realness with a bit of a lean. It's been a pleasure getting to know Fennec and an honor to have this as our second release. #blackwaxbuilttolast

Closely following the release of the last Borderland single, the focus returns on Transport, the last collaborative album by Juan Atkins and Moritz von Oswald. 

Long time friend and studio partner of Moritz von Oswald, Carl Craig provides a new take on “Transport”. Extending and stripping the original sequence to its bone, the illustrious Planet E president and illustrious Detroit proponent also summons a stepping drum sequence and a swaying array of moving delays. This 12“ edit is cut on the A-side.

The full version of Carl Craig’s remix clocks just above 20 minutes and is available digitally. Both are available to anyone who purchases the record, through the enclosed download card.

On the flip, DJ Deep & Roman Poncet rework Carl Craig’s remix, adding their signature grooves and myriad of tough drums, to full effect.

Tresor.298 will release on November 3rd on 12” vinyl and digital.

After several successful releases on his own @valbyrotarylabel, Louf (@louisfitton) joins TYR for our third release with the From A Distance EP. Combining elements from across the electronic spectrum, this EP has something for everyone, from the warehouse feel of Midi Love to the bucolic Quits, Louf showcases his talent to weave deep, body moving bass and beats with playful, reminiscent melodies. Kill Ref Low Frequencies aka KR/LF Records is a techno label from Italy launched in 2016. Headed up by label boss Kill Ref, the catalogue lists music from producers such as Developer, Charlton, Endlec and more. The spine tingling compilation released this month curates 24 tracks from a sensational line-up of talent including artists already featured on the imprint, alongside new blood like Oliver Deutschmann, Ben Gibson, Patrik Skoog, Housemeister, Progression (UK) to name only a few.

Pulling together such a strong cast can only result in a mouth watering proposition, and of course, we are not disappointed. Variety that moves between techno and electro, Saturn Phases shows how a perfect combination of ambition and focus results in something magical… where tough, gritty, analogue beats appear in many forms with industrial flavours, to hypnotic trips.

The track we selected for this DT:Premiere is from the Berlin based Lithuanian Under Black Helmet who has been turning many heads of late on Code is Law and Bas Mooy’s Mord. His track “Perpetrate” is an audio onslaught of power and precision. An instant classic, it uses a maniacal rolling lead over a pounding beat that is ferocious and driving with a single purpose to be a DJ’s secret weapon.

Here we have a very pretty bit of house music from the Yellow Island Records boss, Nørus. The track "With Love_007" is full of weight and feeling with drifting piano chords and a beautiful vocal refrain. Woozy pads and nicely syncopated drums round everything out into a very hypnotic listen. The With Love EP is out on March 25th. Highly recommended.

Practitioner has been active for well over a decade under numerous aliases - releasing field recordings, musique concrete and ethnic percussive sounds; with his electronic productions floating ambiguously between dubtechno, UKG and Romanian minimal.  

He recently released a 12” split on Lissoms records picked up by Ben UFO, Raresh, Moxie, Glenn Astro & more. Previously work included remixes with LFO, Mr Nex, Maximo Park and a slew numerous compilation appearances.  

As founder of Ghetto Method Berlin, under the Practitioner guise he has played at many notorious clubs across Berlin including a residency at the legendary Kunsthaus Tacheles alongside composing soundtracks for film and theatre including Call Me Reality and When I Dance amongst other projects.  

This album features five-time John Peel guest and Orbital vocalist, Lianne Hall on vocal duties.
