I had the incredible opportunity to spend three days at Playa Viva, one of the most idyllic eco-friendly resorts in the Pacific coast of Mexico. Their yoga platform area was the perfect space to witness the incredible sunsets, and I was inspired to build an ambient meditation/yin yoga set that tracked the setting sun. I’m incredibly happy with the end result, which features songs from the worlds of yoga, meditation, abstract electronic ambient music, Bladerunner, Nine Inch Nails, M83, SOHN, Timothy Leary, Four Tet and other rarities. 

So, if you find yourself in need of a good soundtrack to meditate, practice yin yoga, relax, partake in a plant medicine ceremony, or simply have a gentle trip into your own psyche, enjoy the journey I wove from the coasts of Zihuatanejo in Mexico.

This February's Full Moon is brought to you by Thommie G. Combining organic sounds and rhythms, he masterfully carries the listener to places beyond the audio system and capture the audience with slow starts then gently rise the intensity of his sets, designed around selected productions and sounds. 
His style touches elements of deep, melodic, slow house and tribal. He produces different sounds for different occasions, mostly by himself, sometimes joining forces with other musicians, delivering remixes for artists around the globe.
His first solo EP, titled Athinouk, was released on Tropical Twista Records in May 2016. This was the start for many more releases on labels like Sol Selectas, Amsterdam based Whirling Wolf, Wildfang Records, Cosmic Awakenings and Heimlich.

Feeling into what the music as the 'language of spirit' means to me, a sound story revealed itself honoring emotional depths and sounds that revel in the journey of coming home into sorrow, into joy, into contemplation. Music for me is the way I connect with and process what I feel, as I find it difficult sometimes to express it in words. Winter has arrived, the world is both living & dying, sleeping & awakening, and as I pay closer attention to reality, the inside and the outside are the same. This mix celebrated the bridge between those worlds, in love.

It’s been a long time since we connected here. Like us, we can imagine that you have all been on quite the journey since we last reached out. After ‘Colours of Love: The Evolution’ was cancelled in March, we had a lot to process, not just regarding Colours of Love, but also for ourselves personally, as we are sure you all have done in these times. 

We weren’t sure when or how we would resurface into the world, or with what focus. Like everyone else, we’ve been watching the world turn and observing the new landscape as it’s formed each day. We’ve been wondering where we fit in and how we can be of service to something that is constantly evolving. Yet something is happening now the that has motivated us to speak up and end our hiatus of silence. Something that is essential to be discussed, debated and actioned through our every day choices and interactions. 

The Black Lives Matter movement has gained momentum, giving hope for real and powerful change. Changes in perception, society and humanitarian rights are being called for by more people now than ever before. It is a conversation that we want to be a part of but also recognise our own ignorance at where to start. 

We have been considering over the past weeks how we play our part in redefining something so deeply ingrained in society, whilst opening our eyes to the ways in which we have, without intention, continued to be part of the problem. We have come to understand the simplest way to start is by educating ourselves on this matter. Listening and learning. 

Another way for us to support this movement is through Wild Sirenda. Our music is a message. It is a transmission from our heart to yours. All art is a reflection of the world around us and within us. We are unable to hide our feelings on matters we care about, and why would we want to?

This is why, when we were recently asked to make a mix for an online music platform, we expressed our feelings through messages that brought reflection and illumination to this humanitarian plight. We submitted our mix to the platform, only to be told that ‘it’s too political’. 

Having this mix rejected for it’s reference to the Black Lives Matter movement highlighted the issue of white privilege, and the propensity to sweep this matter under the carpet for fear of making people feel uncomfortable.

Colours of Love is more than an event. It is a platform for conscious community and dream activation. We know that our experiences together can be life changing, and we know that the dreams and ideas shared here can change the world. But what’s the point if we shy away from the big issues, the huge movements in line with the very core values that we share? We want this platform to be a celebration of life, yes. And that means supporting people in the world to be FREE to celebrate being alive in it.

So, with this in mind, we present to your our musical offering. Follow us through the full 3.5hour journey.

To our BIPOC friends, we stand with you. We are here, present and willing to be part of the change. We are open to be guided in any way that can help us be better allies. We believe in a world that celebrates diversity and equality for all people, whatever their ethnicity, gender identity or religion. We know we can do better. We want to, and we will.
