Loving these textures man.  Seems pretty simple, but it's working on me like a charm.

I love how the alto flute sounds time stretched to a lower pitch, as it make a good contrast to the higher pitches moving quickly in place...

nice work at transforming the alto flute with time stretching, repeated, high clusters all layered in a gradual shift from dry references to wtter ones...

great stuff Andrew - is this live or sample manipulation?

I like this change here - loving the way the surface texture dissipates... BTW you're very prolific!

Constructions For Flute & Electronics is an exploration of the sonic possibilities of the Flute by Sydney based Flute player and Electroacoustic musician Andrew Bishop aka Anbis.

Through a variety of live improvisations, semi scored works and manipulated samples of Andrew's playing, a world of different textures are created ranging from almost spiritual serenity through to the outpourings of a large scale flute ensemble.

The works are all original and have been produced and released through anbismusic on itunes.

This sketch is made entirely from samples from an improvised flute solo, generously given to me by anbis (see http://soundcloud.com/anbis). Engaging with someone else’s improvised language, phrase lengths, tone and breath punctuations is like playing with another musician in slow motion. There is listening, and after a time, there is responding or the improvised composing.
