R&S welcomes Acid Mondays for a 12" of lysergic house music that reaches far into the outer cosmos. 
Formed "somewhere in the 5th dimension” Acid Mondays is the cosmic coalition of fellow psychonauts Negghead (Dan Ward) and Lex Wolf (Alex Wolfenden).  

Repeated transformative visits to Ibiza culminated in landing regular slots at Circoloco where they have been testing this tune in the dance all Summer long. 

‘Universal Rhythm’, their latest interstellar dispatch and debut on R&S is their finest work to date. An anthemic paean to the cosmos that features an impassioned spoken word missive from shamanistic MC Shovell, impressively recorded in a single take, making the case for the universality of experience and oneness of all beings.  

Latin rhythms fuse with a driving Fender Rhodes lick (provided by JD73) and percolating cow bells to hypnotic effect. This calls to mind a combination of classic Carl Craig and Villalobos at his most playful. R&S new signing The Maghreban supplies a killer dubbed out take on the original that strips away the heavy kicks and pumps up the percussion, hurtling the synth pads to the fore that comes on like John Carpenter peaking on MDMA.

Tripswitch’s blossoming ONEDOTSIXTWO imprint continues to seek out and feature the finest world-class talent within the global underground progressive house scene with their 12th release, which sees the much-anticipated return of Arizona USA’s Brenden LaBonte (aka Forerunners) who has teamed up with Mir Omar (one of NY’s most exciting rising electronic talents) to create the stunning ‘Time Interrupted’. The package is further enhanced with an equally excellent remix courtesy of the supremely talented Sri Lankan DJ/Producer Subandrio.

‘Time Interrupted (Original Mix)’ rides on a masterfully hypnotic percussive groove and is perfectly balanced melodically between deeply desirous subtlety and spine-tingling emotive peaks. This first fruit from this intensely creative collaborative project between Forerunners and Mir Omar is music of wonderful magnificence. Cid Inc's Replug Records opens the 2019 summer season by welcoming Alex O'Rion to the label for his debut EP. As one of the Netherlands most highly regarded and sought after artists, the Nijkerk resident has found a home on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, where he has released three artist EPs since making his debut in January of 2018. Also a highly regarded DJ, Alex has programmed music for some of the world's most iconic clubs, namely Ministry Of Sound and Fabric. Now fresh off a Spring release for Nick Warren's Hope Recordings, the Dutch artist lands on Replug for his debut EP entitled ‘Marathon'. 

Continuing what has been a remarkable year for Alex is the EP's opener and title selection ‘Marathon'. Enticing from the start, it's perfectly sculpted beats are warm and powerful, anchoring what is a rippling, free flowing foundation. Crafted with precision and care, layers of hypnotic percussion are blanketed with swirling atmospherics, ghostly vocal edits and fragmented melodies. Intrigue peaks as the main break unfolds, with hazy harmonic concepts and granular design uniting for an exhilarating apex, before ushering in a groovy drop and emotive finale. 

The journey continues with the driving vibes of ‘Blaze'. Immediately captivating, it's billowing bass tones and finely tuned percussion play off a robust rhythmic core, making for a devilish, hip swinging groove. It's hypnotic appeal grows subtly, as vocal fragments and luminous tones add an emotive slant to what is an already mystical storyboard. Almost like a sonic comet, it's fiery energy melts down into a break of muted beats and astral designs, before a collage of tripped out harmonics sets the stage for an otherworldly conclusion.

The release is capped off in fine fashion with the introspective moods of ‘L'Arbre Des Contes'. Expertly joining the past to the future, Alex marries sophisticated melodic motifs with meditative rhythms and tranquil textures. It's a unique and highly engaging storyboard, perhaps one of the Dutch artist's most heartfelt to date in fact, a creation to cherish for special occasions and no doubt a highly memorable selection for your dance floor. Groovy and emotive in equal measure, it rounds out what is an astute collection of music from Alex O'Rion, making for yet another extraordinary addition to Replug's impeccable discography.

Consistent with the Particles modus operandi to welcome new and talented artists to the label, David Leckenby makes his debut with "Stardust". A single remix comes from a renowned Australian pairing.

David Leckenby sees music at the epicentre of his life. More than simply a job, music has therapeutic qualities for the Melbourne resident: "it's a way of making sense of life and developing as a person". A relative newcomer to the underground dance scene, a 6-month retreat in Kathmandu saw Leckenby stir up a creative storm before returning to his Australian home to continue his creative voyage. DJ performances in Europe and America have added to Leckenby's growing reputation and a production debut for Crosslink Music, in the shape of his "Soul Motion" debut, sparked a clutch of releases for the likes of Crop Circle, Consapevole and Nick Lewis' Emotional Content Recordings.

Now making his Particles debut, "Stardust" fills the sonic aether with richly textured pads and reverb-drenched keys. Arpeggios coruscate across the stereo spectrum and melodic flourishes create an air of melancholy enhanced by a sublime and warm bassline that carries the central melodic theme. A driving beat and ticking percussion ensures the track picks up pace again in the third movement to maximum effect.

Brightly glowing stars of the underground dance firmament, Gavin Griffin and Matty Doyle find themselves at the centre of the progressive universe with their GMJ and Matter monikers. Successful in their own rights with over 600 combined production credits, their work together has seen the duo feature heavily on a raft of high-profile imprints including Anjunadeep, Perfecto Black and Open Records. Regular contributors to Proton Music, May 2016's "Superposition" laid the foundations for a pair of further decorated EPs to follow, with June 2017's "Osmosis" and August 2018's "Interscope" illustrating the Australian pair's production prowess. A series of remixes for the likes of Andre Sobota, Huminal and Juan Deminicis have followed and it is an honour to welcome them to Particles for a collaborative debut, after a Matter remix of GMJ's "Intimation" in November 2016.

Taking on "Stardust", the GMJ and Matter remix bristles with trademark dynamism as a typically dramatic bassline and rolling rhythmic groove provide the foundation for intelligent use of Leckenby's central melodic tropes combined with a wealth of additional production material from the pair's vault. Full of dancefloor credentials, harmonically rich pads swim enticingly across the left-right spectrum as the core arpeggiated riff from the original makes its presence felt at the mid-point breakdown and into the third movement. The result is a work of sonic art.

A career in the ascendancy, David Leckenby sees GMJ and Matter sprinkle a layer of "Stardust" over a magical Particles debut.

Paul's workman-like focus and laser-precise beats have caught the imagination of a lot of the elite players in the scene and we are pretty certain that we are dealing here with an artist that has a very bright future ahead.

This release shows Paul maturity and musical development as we kick off with the deep, hypnotic warm melodic layers of Medusa, interspersed with subtle effective percussion while the drop is filled with an indescribable wash of tension.

Dabeat uses the same endless tension that fills the original track and brings a memorable new melody after the drop to create a monstrous remix that will move every dancer on the dance-floor.

With his remix of Medusa, John Cosani pieces together a deep, warm, percussive groove that reveals energetic synth stabs and tension. Powerful and understated.'

A tasty 4-track sampler featuring highlights from some of our upcoming releases. @bengomori curates another unputdownable VA with four killer tracks from new, emerging and resurgent names from four different countries that have been getting big reactions of late.
Copenhagen's genius-like "Paxton Fettel" has been destroying dancefloors with his piano-heavy, joyous sound recently on labels like Delusions Of Grandeur and Greta Cottage Workshop. "I'd Like To Know You Better" is another fist-pumping jam that oozes positivity. London DJ "Kristy Harper" makes her debut in the production world with the slinky, pared-back disco groove of "Uncle Jungle" - an earworm of a track which she has been consistently pestered for when playing in her sets.
Sub Club resident Harri has been slaving away over new material as one half of Glasgow duo "Manakinz" alongside his bud Max, with their heavyweight, relentlessly building and layered house sounds exemplified on the extremely potent "Robopubez (Rust In Peace)". Sounds from South Africa round off the EP, as now-London-based talent "Maxime Alexander" turns out a phat acid-house-rap jam with fellow SA rapper $hakes' irresistible delivery on hand.

'Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Stiven Rivic and Michael and Levan back to the label for a new EP entitled 'Rumors'. The much loved trio have been a core part of the Greek imprint since making their debut in 2012 with a contribution to the label's 'Technical Progress' Vol. 2 collection. Michael, Levan and Stiven have since gone to appear an additional ten times while also finding a home on Beatfreak, Flow Vinyl, ICONYC, Perfecto and their own Kunai imprint. Now landing back on Movement for the first time in almost three years the trio present a new two track EP alongside remixes from EdOne and Paul Angelo and Don Argento. 

Beginning with the title track 'Rumors' Stiven, Michael and Levan move into deeper territory with a warm spacious groove, smooth rhythms and clusters of dreamy tones. It's both alluring and mysterious with a flair for the dramatic, particularly across an expansive first act, as layers of percussion build and bulbous stabs steal the air. An electric lead flows nicely into a short interlude, resetting the groove for a more unique cadence, while the main break elevates the narrative into astral territory. The companion piece 'Incognito' finds the trio exploring the hypnotic sensibilities they've become so loved for. It's rolling groove is perfectly carved, adorned with plucky hooks, fiery percussion and meditative arps. Smooth and dubby across the first act, it eventually opens up into an astral storyboard as a wave of sonic artefacts segues perfectly into a groovy finale.

The lone interpretation of 'Rumors' is provided by EdOne who makes his label debut. The Spanish artist lays claim to an impressive discography highlighted by releases on Beatfreak, Stil Vor Talent,  Selador and Suara. Now making his much anticipated Movement Recordings debut, the Cadiz resident puts a unique twist on 'Rumors'. Setting the piece in motion is a bed of broken beats and rippling bass tones. Airy pads elevate mood as layers of exotic percussion flow through the framework. Poignant tones and percussive flurries continue to bend the narrative, adding emotion and tension, before the main break and impactful drop shift energy into euphoria's top floor. 

The release concludes with label artists Paul Angelo and Don Argento returning for their fifth appearance. 2019 has seen the Cyprus based duo compile the second volume of the Greek imprint's 'GLBLMVMT' series while also delivering their first EP 'Hephaestus'. Now fresh off releases for Soundteller Records and Yin:Yang, Paul and Don return to Movement with a stunning interpretation of 'Incognito'. Anchored by a driving groove, the Cyprus duo's rhythmic drum work and fluid electronics build a strong cadence. Acidic designs add a flair for the dramatic, while percussive splashes and esoteric tones perfectly segue into the main break. Spanning nearly a minute in length, the interlude is one of introspection, backed by a solemn air and laced with buzzing designs, it effortlessly shifts energy into a pulsating finale. Another inspired remix from Paul and Don which caps off another excellent offering from Tash's Movement Recordings. Don't miss it.'

PREMIERE: Anturage & Alexey Union — Awakening (Original Mix) [Lost On You]

In celebration of Replug's ten year anniversary Cid Inc & Orsen present their debut collaboration alongside remixes from Nick Muir and Barry Jamieson. Founded in 2009 by Finnish artist and DJ Henri Hurtig aka Cid Inc., Replug has carefully forged a path to progressive music excellence. Through releasing much of Henri's most sought after material to the genre's freshest artists, the label has continued to flourish and forever has it's finger on the pulse of the movement. Having already released his ‘Look Twice' EP in March of 2015, it was January of 2016 which saw UK born, Austria based artist Dan Baseley aka Orsen take over the label's managerial duties. A key moment in Replug's journey, as Cid Inc's tour schedule and mastering service had left him less time to focus on the label. Moving forward the duo proved to be a great team, with Replug furthering itself as a premiere destination for progressive music's most sought after talent. Now in what has been a remarkable decade long journey, it seems only appropriate that Cid Inc and Orsen unite to commemorate the occasion with the aptly titled ‘Ten'. 

From the opening bars of ‘Ten' you get an immediate sense of how strong the creative synergy is between Cid Inc and Orsen. Powerful and inviting, it's warm foundation is full of contour and character, while a buzzing tone and rugged design build tension as the narrative takes shape. Hitting early, a short break serves to introduce an astral arp, playing off the rhythmic elements and adding further cadence to already swing heavy groove. Spanning over a minute in length, it is the second and final break which provides a unique contrast of emotion and drama. As modulation reaches a feverous peak, impassioned chord changes offset the metallic wall, before getting washed away into a wave of cosmic effects as the groove drops for a thunderous finale.
