R&S welcomes Acid Mondays for a 12" of lysergic house music that reaches far into the outer cosmos. 
Formed "somewhere in the 5th dimension” Acid Mondays is the cosmic coalition of fellow psychonauts Negghead (Dan Ward) and Lex Wolf (Alex Wolfenden).  

Repeated transformative visits to Ibiza culminated in landing regular slots at Circoloco where they have been testing this tune in the dance all Summer long. 

‘Universal Rhythm’, their latest interstellar dispatch and debut on R&S is their finest work to date. An anthemic paean to the cosmos that features an impassioned spoken word missive from shamanistic MC Shovell, impressively recorded in a single take, making the case for the universality of experience and oneness of all beings.  

Latin rhythms fuse with a driving Fender Rhodes lick (provided by JD73) and percolating cow bells to hypnotic effect. This calls to mind a combination of classic Carl Craig and Villalobos at his most playful. R&S new signing The Maghreban supplies a killer dubbed out take on the original that strips away the heavy kicks and pumps up the percussion, hurtling the synth pads to the fore that comes on like John Carpenter peaking on MDMA.

'Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Stiven Rivic and Michael and Levan back to the label for a new EP entitled 'Rumors'. The much loved trio have been a core part of the Greek imprint since making their debut in 2012 with a contribution to the label's 'Technical Progress' Vol. 2 collection. Michael, Levan and Stiven have since gone to appear an additional ten times while also finding a home on Beatfreak, Flow Vinyl, ICONYC, Perfecto and their own Kunai imprint. Now landing back on Movement for the first time in almost three years the trio present a new two track EP alongside remixes from EdOne and Paul Angelo and Don Argento. 

Beginning with the title track 'Rumors' Stiven, Michael and Levan move into deeper territory with a warm spacious groove, smooth rhythms and clusters of dreamy tones. It's both alluring and mysterious with a flair for the dramatic, particularly across an expansive first act, as layers of percussion build and bulbous stabs steal the air. An electric lead flows nicely into a short interlude, resetting the groove for a more unique cadence, while the main break elevates the narrative into astral territory. The companion piece 'Incognito' finds the trio exploring the hypnotic sensibilities they've become so loved for. It's rolling groove is perfectly carved, adorned with plucky hooks, fiery percussion and meditative arps. Smooth and dubby across the first act, it eventually opens up into an astral storyboard as a wave of sonic artefacts segues perfectly into a groovy finale.

The lone interpretation of 'Rumors' is provided by EdOne who makes his label debut. The Spanish artist lays claim to an impressive discography highlighted by releases on Beatfreak, Stil Vor Talent,  Selador and Suara. Now making his much anticipated Movement Recordings debut, the Cadiz resident puts a unique twist on 'Rumors'. Setting the piece in motion is a bed of broken beats and rippling bass tones. Airy pads elevate mood as layers of exotic percussion flow through the framework. Poignant tones and percussive flurries continue to bend the narrative, adding emotion and tension, before the main break and impactful drop shift energy into euphoria's top floor. 

The release concludes with label artists Paul Angelo and Don Argento returning for their fifth appearance. 2019 has seen the Cyprus based duo compile the second volume of the Greek imprint's 'GLBLMVMT' series while also delivering their first EP 'Hephaestus'. Now fresh off releases for Soundteller Records and Yin:Yang, Paul and Don return to Movement with a stunning interpretation of 'Incognito'. Anchored by a driving groove, the Cyprus duo's rhythmic drum work and fluid electronics build a strong cadence. Acidic designs add a flair for the dramatic, while percussive splashes and esoteric tones perfectly segue into the main break. Spanning nearly a minute in length, the interlude is one of introspection, backed by a solemn air and laced with buzzing designs, it effortlessly shifts energy into a pulsating finale. Another inspired remix from Paul and Don which caps off another excellent offering from Tash's Movement Recordings. Don't miss it.'

"The latest release from Tash’s Movement Recordings welcomes Sean & Dee back to the label for their debut EP. The Italian duo first appeared on the Greek imprint in January of last year with a remix of ‘Resurrection’ by V-Cious & Trapped In Time. Releases on BeatFreak Recordings, ICONYC, Outta Limits and UV following, making for a hugely successful 2019. Now kicking off the new year in style, Sean & Dee present their ’Phoenix’ EP alongside remixes from Starkato and Forniva.

Beginning with the title selection ‘Phoenix’ Sean & Dee move into dark territory with a punchy groove, charged rhythms and devilish stabs. Both foreboding and mysterious, it’s flair for the dramatic grows as astral arps and luminous tones lead to an expansive break. The narrative then shifts with an emotive motif and glowing atmospheres providing a sense of calm, before getting washed away into a sea of dark beats and rippling grooves. The companion piece ‘Before the Storm’ finds Sean & Dee exploring the astral techno sensibilities they’ve become so loved for. It’s tough, rolling groove is perfectly carved, adorned with wonky motifs and cosmic artefacts. Once again, a dark first act preludes an emotive break where kaleidoscopic keys take centerstage, before tension filled tones usher in a foreboding finale.

The lone interpretation of ‘Phoenix’ is provided by label artist Starkato who returns for his seventh appearance. 2019 proved to be a memorable year for the German artist, showcasing his music on Asymmetric Recordings, Balkan Connection, Beatfreak Recordings and ICONYC. Having collaborated with Movement boss Tash in September of last year, Starkato now returns with a stunning rendition of ‘Phoenix’. Setting the piece in motion, a foundation of tight beats and percussive waves merge for a wall of momentous energy. Luminous tones complement the rippling foundation, while piercing stabs steal the air at timely moments. Smooth chord changes and subtle modulation continue to elevate emotion, before a well-crafted break seals it’s brilliance.

Rounding out the release and providing the lone interpretation of ‘Before the Storm’ is Forniva who returns to the label for his second appearance. The Bosnian artist first appeared on the Greek imprint in November of 2018 with a remix of Emi Galvan’s ‘Dopamine’, while a contribution to the label’s Technical Progress, Vol. 8 collection landed in December of the same year. Also laying claim to releases on Asymmetric Recordings, MNL, One Of A Kind and Soundteller Records, Forniva now returns to Movement with an excellent remix of ‘Before The Storm’. Backed by a warm, chugging groove, the Bosnian artist’s finely tuned percussion and grandiose atmospheres appease the senses. Clustered drums and a wonky take on the lead theme add a flair for the dramatic, while emotive chord changes set up the main break perfectly. Ghostly and tense, it’s a cavernous interlude, flowing through cinematic soundscapes, before a tasteful drop sparks an exhilarating finale. An inspired remix from Forniva which rounds out another must have release from Tash’s Movement Recordings."

Let’s welcome Belgian raw diamond Heckman with his first EP on our label! On producer level he recently did some damage on Fur Coats label Oddity Records with his track ‘Paroxysm’. Time to show the world more unscratched surface of Heckmans producer skills. Therefore we present to you a full 3 tracker-EP + remix by legend Betoko.
 
“Sunset Dreams” is a no nonsense club banger. From start to finish fire in the disco! No joke, this track just grabs you by the balls from the moment the arp-melody kicks in. This loop can go on forever! It takes you into infinity without letting you go! On remix duty we have Betoko, who gave a deeper dimension to the melody and topped it off with an amazing bassline!
 
“Apricity” is all about happy times. Nice chords, lovely light easy going percussion, a feel good vibe, … pure bliss. Closing this EP, Heckman took a slightly darker, melodramatic route. “Lucid” is just a perfect ending.'

Just a few months after EdOne purveyed his own reinterpretation to
Ivory & Auggie’s leaden prototype, demonstrating a fine
comprehension of “Basic Rhythm,” he returns on MoBlack Records,
now alongside Martin HERRS, and INVŌKER on remix duties, with
“Tatalina.” On A side, the Spaniards delicately unfold a poignant
sojourn that wanders and diffuses the rims of isolation and
belonging. The tender, 6:28 minute aural escapade starts off with a
simple ingress, pummeled by an inquisitive bassline into a gripping
melodic procession. Tatalina escalates to a euphoric stillness
transcended by haunting piano chords, but breaks free when
intermittently disrupted by deep synthetic pulsations, evoking the
frailty of memory and vulnerability of emotion.
French rising star INVŌKER deploys his empowered rendition of the
title track, pulling a bit less feeling from emotion and a little more
feeling from sense. Tension and groove pull and reverb in this
particular tug of play, where space is dark, energy is incandescent
and the texture of sound is moist and locomotive. MB384 sits in the
juncture of memory, motion and emotion, a pursuit of that fleeting
moment that is only present in one instant, as well as an attempt to
prolong its existence through sound.

'Atlantida' is the brand-new throbbing club burner from 'Two Sins'. Whether it's the deeply delicious uplifting melodies and dramatic strings of 'Atlantida', there can be no denying that the Two Sins is on a roll. His distinctive style and attention to detail marks him out, as having unique creative talent. For the full-length release, we are treated to stunning reworks from non-other than Marius Drescher & Schwarzmatt. We kick things off with original track, which brings a fusion of deep bass tones, subtle drum programming and cleverly chopped samples and intricately weaved chord progressions, building to a beautiful breakdown before gradually rebuilding the elements to an unrelenting crescendo of breathy drum licks, chord stabs and an ever-warped bassline to close out this massive production. The second remix comes from Swiss production combo Schwarzmatt whose releases have been doing the business on the dance floors of the world. Their remix flows with ease from the instant it starts, encapsulating a wealth of cool beats which are present throughout, as well as driving sounds that are met with a big low end creating a timeless bubbler that will make you move. Schwarzmatt have taken the essence of the original and wrapped it in a blanket of progressive grooves to cause havoc with your senses.
