Hailing from Salvador, Luan's music incorporates organic and electronic elements into a sound that perfectly leans into the many worlds of House music while continuing to have its own standout hallmark. We begin the EP with "Breakbox." This high energy stormer features a driving, purely rolling bassline; with subtle vocals and atmospheric synth stabs adding a unique depth. Rain samples abound in the second breakdown, where a soft pad defines this brief but emotional moment. This moment of calm suddenly leads into an intensely powerful and uplifting final act that closes the track almost as suddenly as it began. "Thinking About," is the more mellow partner to "Breakbox." Having settled the energy and featuring a much more natural-inspired atmosphere, this B-side defines its groovy cadence with sparse bass stabs that mellow out into the breakdown and lead into another closing chapter that may just seal the deal for listeners. Here is Luan Pugliesi with his new EP on Cydana Sounds, "Breakbox / Thinking About." A solid pairing sure to delight both fans of Organic and Progressive sounds.

'Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Stiven Rivic and Michael and Levan back to the label for a new EP entitled 'Rumors'. The much loved trio have been a core part of the Greek imprint since making their debut in 2012 with a contribution to the label's 'Technical Progress' Vol. 2 collection. Michael, Levan and Stiven have since gone to appear an additional ten times while also finding a home on Beatfreak, Flow Vinyl, ICONYC, Perfecto and their own Kunai imprint. Now landing back on Movement for the first time in almost three years the trio present a new two track EP alongside remixes from EdOne and Paul Angelo and Don Argento. 

Beginning with the title track 'Rumors' Stiven, Michael and Levan move into deeper territory with a warm spacious groove, smooth rhythms and clusters of dreamy tones. It's both alluring and mysterious with a flair for the dramatic, particularly across an expansive first act, as layers of percussion build and bulbous stabs steal the air. An electric lead flows nicely into a short interlude, resetting the groove for a more unique cadence, while the main break elevates the narrative into astral territory. The companion piece 'Incognito' finds the trio exploring the hypnotic sensibilities they've become so loved for. It's rolling groove is perfectly carved, adorned with plucky hooks, fiery percussion and meditative arps. Smooth and dubby across the first act, it eventually opens up into an astral storyboard as a wave of sonic artefacts segues perfectly into a groovy finale.

The lone interpretation of 'Rumors' is provided by EdOne who makes his label debut. The Spanish artist lays claim to an impressive discography highlighted by releases on Beatfreak, Stil Vor Talent,  Selador and Suara. Now making his much anticipated Movement Recordings debut, the Cadiz resident puts a unique twist on 'Rumors'. Setting the piece in motion is a bed of broken beats and rippling bass tones. Airy pads elevate mood as layers of exotic percussion flow through the framework. Poignant tones and percussive flurries continue to bend the narrative, adding emotion and tension, before the main break and impactful drop shift energy into euphoria's top floor. 

The release concludes with label artists Paul Angelo and Don Argento returning for their fifth appearance. 2019 has seen the Cyprus based duo compile the second volume of the Greek imprint's 'GLBLMVMT' series while also delivering their first EP 'Hephaestus'. Now fresh off releases for Soundteller Records and Yin:Yang, Paul and Don return to Movement with a stunning interpretation of 'Incognito'. Anchored by a driving groove, the Cyprus duo's rhythmic drum work and fluid electronics build a strong cadence. Acidic designs add a flair for the dramatic, while percussive splashes and esoteric tones perfectly segue into the main break. Spanning nearly a minute in length, the interlude is one of introspection, backed by a solemn air and laced with buzzing designs, it effortlessly shifts energy into a pulsating finale. Another inspired remix from Paul and Don which caps off another excellent offering from Tash's Movement Recordings. Don't miss it.'

"The latest release from Tash’s Movement Recordings welcomes Sean & Dee back to the label for their debut EP. The Italian duo first appeared on the Greek imprint in January of last year with a remix of ‘Resurrection’ by V-Cious & Trapped In Time. Releases on BeatFreak Recordings, ICONYC, Outta Limits and UV following, making for a hugely successful 2019. Now kicking off the new year in style, Sean & Dee present their ’Phoenix’ EP alongside remixes from Starkato and Forniva.

Beginning with the title selection ‘Phoenix’ Sean & Dee move into dark territory with a punchy groove, charged rhythms and devilish stabs. Both foreboding and mysterious, it’s flair for the dramatic grows as astral arps and luminous tones lead to an expansive break. The narrative then shifts with an emotive motif and glowing atmospheres providing a sense of calm, before getting washed away into a sea of dark beats and rippling grooves. The companion piece ‘Before the Storm’ finds Sean & Dee exploring the astral techno sensibilities they’ve become so loved for. It’s tough, rolling groove is perfectly carved, adorned with wonky motifs and cosmic artefacts. Once again, a dark first act preludes an emotive break where kaleidoscopic keys take centerstage, before tension filled tones usher in a foreboding finale.

The lone interpretation of ‘Phoenix’ is provided by label artist Starkato who returns for his seventh appearance. 2019 proved to be a memorable year for the German artist, showcasing his music on Asymmetric Recordings, Balkan Connection, Beatfreak Recordings and ICONYC. Having collaborated with Movement boss Tash in September of last year, Starkato now returns with a stunning rendition of ‘Phoenix’. Setting the piece in motion, a foundation of tight beats and percussive waves merge for a wall of momentous energy. Luminous tones complement the rippling foundation, while piercing stabs steal the air at timely moments. Smooth chord changes and subtle modulation continue to elevate emotion, before a well-crafted break seals it’s brilliance.

Rounding out the release and providing the lone interpretation of ‘Before the Storm’ is Forniva who returns to the label for his second appearance. The Bosnian artist first appeared on the Greek imprint in November of 2018 with a remix of Emi Galvan’s ‘Dopamine’, while a contribution to the label’s Technical Progress, Vol. 8 collection landed in December of the same year. Also laying claim to releases on Asymmetric Recordings, MNL, One Of A Kind and Soundteller Records, Forniva now returns to Movement with an excellent remix of ‘Before The Storm’. Backed by a warm, chugging groove, the Bosnian artist’s finely tuned percussion and grandiose atmospheres appease the senses. Clustered drums and a wonky take on the lead theme add a flair for the dramatic, while emotive chord changes set up the main break perfectly. Ghostly and tense, it’s a cavernous interlude, flowing through cinematic soundscapes, before a tasteful drop sparks an exhilarating finale. An inspired remix from Forniva which rounds out another must have release from Tash’s Movement Recordings."
