‘PROTO’ takes on a trio of unique forms, two supplied by Pan-Pot, whilst Canadian underground legend Mike Shannon delivers the third. “We wanted to do something special for the 20th anniversary of Pan-Pot, so we jumped back into the studio with our friend Hugh Betcha, who we produced ‘Charly’ with back in 2007, released on Mobillee. Our very first ‘hit’ track that received international recognition” says Pan-Pot. 

The original mix of ‘PROTO’ wastes no time in getting you re-acquainted with Pan-Pot’s vigorous production style, echoing the robustly energetic DJ performances that have seen them attain endless global acclaim. Orbiting the ominous vocal centrepiece, a rhapsody of powerful drums, coarse industrial percussive drive and the modulating envelopes of a savage lead bassline all combine to serve a pulsating peak-time slammer. “The lyrics of 'PROTO' are the continuation of the original ‘Charly’ track. Just have a listen....’ adds Pan-Pot. 

The ‘Stripped’ mix offers a dynamically contrasting persona, built around the hollows of thudding kicks, crisp hat grooves, an acidic bell-type synth lead and a mind-bending sine wave that will challenge your ability to stay on beat with the track’s spurring pace. 

Mike Shannon’s remix of ‘PROTO’ takes things deep, groovy and swinging on a Minimal tip. Throwing the track from left to right from the outset, its combination of chunky drums, endless layers of percussive movement and rhythmic sub-bass provide a solid core for a kaleidoscope of subtle musical accents that flow throughout the mix. It’s playful, cool, and underground and will keep you on your toes from start to finish.

The latest edition of our Breaking New Soil series proves that time flies when you´re having fun: This is number 10! Once again presented by label head Gregor Tresher, and this time with two exciting contributions by the man himself, we are proud to announce a very versatile lineup: We have Hybrasil, who Gregor met at a gig in Dublin, presenting a beast of a peaktime track with „Flexo“. Returning to the label is Ferdinando Apicella from Naples, better known as Kernel Key, who delivers another non-conforming techno jam that will go big with all the real Techno heads. Next up we have label favorite Fac3off - returning with not one but two amazing tracks presenting his signature sound - we´re sure we´ll be hearing a lot more from this talent in the future! The Yellowheads, hailing from Spain, had a storming EP release on BNS last year and return in very strong shape with „Caelum“. Last but not least there is Antipolar from Cologne, with whom Gregor recently shared the decks at Cologne underground club „Gewoelbe“ - he´s new to the label and is debuting with a very unique sounding production called „Mandal“. We hope you enjoy playing and listening to Breaking New Soil Volume 10 as much as we enjoyed compiling it.

CIL001 kicks in with a release of Swiss rising producer & DJ John Haden. His very special style has made it into the labels debut EP. Forward going Techno with spherical FX elements comes together with dark airy vox elements. A symbiosis of claps, percussions and synths in a unique arrangement make his two original tracks Different World and Through Walls so special. 'Different World' is a deep and mesmerizing cut complete with tantalizing melodies and a purring bassline produced with the afterhours in mind. Meanwhile, 'Through Walls' sees Haden blend dusky atmospherics with a skipping beat as various sinister effects are ebbed in and out of the mix.

Micro.fon boss DJ Emerson then reimagines 'Different Worlds', generating an aesthetic that resembles a thunderstorm composed of echoing drones and murky voices, making way for a harder remix by label founder YENI, who implements raw kicks and crunchy snares for an energetic conclusion.

PREMIERE: Drunken Kong - Live And Create (Andres Campo Remix)

Involved in the industry since the late 80's, the Minas Gerais native is one of the most responsible for shaping and growing the country's electronic music, earning the respect of many national and international names, including the recognition of the legend Carl Cox. Noise has performed in more than 30 countries around the world, taking his extreme skill and sensitivity with him into the construction of his sets, as well as helping put Brazil on the Techno world map.

As an artist with a career spanning over 30 years and an extensive catalog of releases by several labels, reaching stratospheric numbers, and of course, also on his own label, Noise Music, the first Brazilian Techno label, which turned 23 years old in April 2022.

Noise has developed major collaborations with João Carlos Martins, Milton Nascimento, Daniela Mercury, Lulu Santos and many others, in addition to maintaining the Nie Myer project with band members Skank, Henrique Portugal and Lelo Zanetti.

In his entire career he has received dozens of awards, has been elected the best DJ for two consecutive years by DJ Mag Brasil, and for three years his name was included in the Top 100 list of DJ Mag UK, reaching the position of number 26 in the world in 2008.

Noise has been a producer for memorable parties throughout the 90s and during the 2000s, in unusual places in Belo Horizonte. He is also responsible for creating the first online electronic music radio station in Brazil, Radio Noise.

With an energy rare to be found, common only among the most talented artists, Anderson Noise, is that type of professional who looks at difficulties with responsibility, but doesn't feel intimidated.
