Juan Yarin is next up on the Rumors with his Lovefool EP, which comes with a remix from label head Guy Gerber, completing a standout package.

Juan Yarin is a core part of the Rumors family and a regular at the label's Ibiza party. He has released his emotive brand of deep house here before, such as with last year's Venice Beach EP, and impresses once more this time out.

Lovefool opens up with spine-tingling piano chords draped over soft, deep house drums. A tender vocal completes the most majestic groove. Lovefool (Guy Gerber Remix) is a stylish tweak with the piano chords left in place and the drums given a little extra bite. The whole thing sinks you into a reverie and makes for truly beautiful listening. Paradiso then picks up the pace with a more upright house sound this time with low-slung bass and icy hi hats adding detail next to the elegant synth craft. Lina closes down with some heady, hypotonic house that is filled with late-night atmosphere and swirling cosmic keys.

Before its release date "LOVEFOOL" has already been played by known artists such as KEINEMUSIK at BURNING MAN 2022, and even received a special remix version by GUY GERBER to be released along with the EP. Together they have produced a spellbinding cut - ‘All The Love’. A highlight in WhoMadeWho’s recent sets, the track works off a sturdy percussive base with stirring vocals that go straight to the heart of your emotional centre. Shrouded in layers of warm synth, the energy builds slowly, guiding us into a rousing breakdown, punctuated by solemn piano keys and reverberating vocals. This takes us into the second half, where the beautifully composed track continues to immerse us in its breathtaking atmosphere…

When one could assume, &ME entered the House and Techno world somewhat out of the blue, it is due to his sublime modesty that’s already captured in his alias. His way to become one of today’s most praised and sought after DJ/producers is based on a solid foundation. A foundation comprised of solo-releases, remixes, projects and collaborations that numerous, we’d rather refer to his discography than weary you with namedropping. Besides, all those references would just distract from what truly matters – the music this guy is delivering. Not to underestimate the importance of a project such as Terranova for &ME’s current path, but still the alignment has been made – to focus consistently on his solo-work. And it shows.

There are not many artists around turning in such a slew of globally praised floormaterial like &ME did over the last years. Just think of his last offerings on Keinemusik, a collective of Berlin based DJs and producers, including Rampa, Adam Port, Reznik & artist Monja Gentschow, he helped founding in 2009, namely “After Dark” and “Woods” or his “Vermillion”-remix for Damian Lazarus – all serious bangers, played by every renowned DJ worldwide. Everything is falling into place for the fella. His DIY-approach to handle things, his easy going attitude, his reputation as a gifted producer and DJ extraordinaire, his ability to link innovative production with consensual reception, making him one of the most unique and original figures in the game.
