Into Blue

If I try, will you try.
To find something in me.
Like I found in you.

I hold these thoughts
Close to my chest
Feelings left unspoken
Now are put to rest

This moment of reprieve
With a somber sigh
Reflections to be seen
 This dream will pass me by

The sun is setting
I want to follow it
 In hopes Ill find  a place, better than this

This horizon
 The light fades away
To return to, a much better place

Fade into the past

 A fraction of a moment
With nothing left to find

The sunlight through the trees
The wind against the leafs

Horizon

Unfold this time and space  
A feeling I can not erase 
Yet I contemplate  
A memory entwined with fate   

Yet these thoughts collide  
Still questions linger in my mind  
What is left to find 
When there’s no way to turn back time

This pale light through the window
Nowhere left to call home
This place I long for still unknown 

Fading sun against the trees
Moments swaying in the breeze 
Shadows never last
We fade into the past

To find this open door   

What is left to believe
When I have given it all
Thoughts that I conceive
Seasons lead to my fall

The air is cold and grey 
Our fire burns it all away
