This is Zong. Another work in progress piece in the Blip series.

Again, the Minimoog shines. Also appearing, a Novation Nova as guest star for some parts.

Zong (a tonal minimal trip into analog land)

I'm a french expat living in hungary since quite ages, producing music for (let's hope so) everyone's pleasure. All I'm missing is time to turn the knobs and push the buttons...

I'm working with Logic Studio on a Mac Pro / Macbook Pro and hardware includes a pile of rack-mounted synths, big boxes with lots of knobs, a Roland and a CME master keyboard to drive all that. Although having quite a few synth legends left, I'm often working with software Virtual Analogue Synths because they simplify life quite a lot, but I'm more-and-more trying to put the analogue gear back to work because there is such a big difference in dynamics.

Beloved pieces I regularly use are my samplers (E-MU E5000 Ultra, Kurzweil K2000R and from time-to-time an AKAI S2800 and a Roland S-550) and also a couple of vintage and/or analog synths (Moog, Korg, Roland, Kawai, etc) which all make the tracks they're used in sound sooooo freakin' fat :)

I have grown quite an excitement for remixing / reinterpreting / covering existing songs (Depeche Mode actually quite a lot). I'm also posting drafts and release material here so you can catch up with what is in the works :)
