Hailing from Manchester in the UK, acoustic-electronica trio GoGo Penguin are pianist Chris Illingworth, bassist Nick Blacka and drummer Rob Turner. Drawing on a heady brew of influences from Brian Eno, John Cage, Massive Attack and Aphex Twin to Manchester’s grey rain-streaked urban streets, they create a brave new sound that is wholly their own.

Defined by skittering break-beats, powerful sub-bass, telepathic interplay and a penchant for anthemic melody they create an emotionally rich palate for the listener that has seen them hailed as the most exciting new band to emerge from the UK in years.

Music is my great passion, since i was 15 years old, i sang in a different groups, also making my own music ( ambient- electronic - 2009). In twenty years i was participated in a different various projects. I started as a vocalist in 1995 in a punk group Pandemonium, in 1996 vocalist of the group Hudobni Volk, 1998 Sleazy Snails, 2002 funk-jazz-soul group Traffic Jam.
Since i can remember, Cinematic music is my biggest passion, motivation to stay close to the music. Since oktober 2015 i write and play my own compositions. Very simple compositions for start, cause i have to learn a lot  about orchestral music and hope that someday i will learn enough to make something big.

Mammal Hands stand at the forefront of a new wave of boundary-defying UK artists, blending jazz, contemporary classical, electronica, folk, and minimalism into a sound that is unmistakably their own. In 2025, the trio signed with legendary German label ACT, home of Esbjörn Svensson Trio, and will release their sixth studio album, Circadia, in spring 2026 — the first with long-time friend and new drummer Rob Turner (former–GoGo Penguin) — marking a bold, beat-driven new direction for the band.
