A stalwart of our scene and a staunch proponent of textured and introspective sounds, Dave delivers Mantra Collective a considered mix spanning ethereal grooves and avant-garde loops. 

Owner of Sydney’s finest underground dance music record store, Something Else Records, he’s a true and recognised curator of sonic journeys both on and off the D-Floor. Having made appearances in DJ booths the world across, Dave’s experience speaks for itself – known best for melding club fodder tracks with thought provoking dancefloor killers. 

We’re excited to have our very own Whitecat go back-to-back with Dave this weekend at Club Fusion in Sydney in a showcase of all the right sounds.

Departures is such an appropriate title for this EP, as not only is this a departure from what many have come to expect from André but also these songs really take you on a journey that is a departure from your daily concerns. 

When I was asked to do a painting for the cover, I wanted to capture the idea that the song has always been playing & always will be playing, and we just happen to be catching a small sliver of it. I hope when viewing the art that it takes you closer to the music, not further away.

The songs are a mix of sonic bliss & melancholy, with very memorable melodies. 

Don’t be surprised if “Departures” brings you right back to your center.

ENERCUBE is a dubtechno producer from the capital of Siberia and one of the ideologists of the PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB podcast channel of the Siberian techno-formation PIRANHA. Real name Oleg Nabivachev. Born in 1986 in the village of Krasnogvardeyskoye, Russia. Since childhood, he began to be friends with music. In 2015, he got behind the turntables. The first release under the pseudonym "Oldschool_Dubtechno .Producer" came out in 2022, after he successfully completed the producer course at Ableton. The best DAW of all time. All cubic energy!!

For the next ep of Spectral Voices I invited @ohm-599575574, a mainstay of the Icelandic techno scene with over 20 releases on labels such as Thule records, Rawax, Kontakt, Solid Groove, Taped Artifact, Ranges, Vade mecum, Vuo records and AE Recordings which he co-ran with Octal Industries and Thor from Thule Records.

Now, Ohm runs his own imprint called 'Ohm Series', where he shines a light on a mixture of well-beloved veterans and some vibrant new names pushing techno's sonic boundaries. His integrity to the dub techno sound is the cornerstone of its operation.

Biography:
LUME, formerly known as Arousal, creates a sonic journey that invites listeners into a transformative and diverse soundscape. With roots in Germany and now flourishing in the electronic music scenes of Innsbruck and Munich, he is an integral member of the “FACETS“ collective from Augsburg and the event series “SURGE“ in Munich. He also launched his own event series “PUBLIC ECSTASY“ in Innsbruck in 2023, showcasing his musical vision. Electronic music has always treated space as an essential element along with rhythm and melody. In recent years, LUME's sonic vision has taken this exploration further, creating hypnotic music that immerses the listener in the spatial dimensions of sound.
Inspired by a deep love for the music of the 90s, he has embarked on a musical journey that fuses various genres into a cohesive soundscape. His music represents layered techno infused with Breakbeat, IDM-inspired sounds, Ambiente and Electro, while trying to capture the innovative essence of 90s electronic music. The German artist's ever-evolving sonic signature shifts genres and perspectives, always celebrating the rich diversity of electronic music to create a dynamic listening experience.
For this podcast, LUME explores his deep love for the slower side of electronic music, choosing one of his favourite dub-techno classics and atmospheric tracks to create a journey between ambience and calming rhythm.

LUME

Ferenc Szanati  (Euphonic Moments/Budapest, Hungary) has been consciously collecting music since his childhood, and made his debut as a DJ in 2007 at the Justmusic.FM DJ Championship, which he won.
Over time his musical tastes evolved and he was influenced by Progressive House and Deep House, which led him to Dub Techno, a genre he is very close to and has been representing for a few years now.
Besides music, sound quality is also important to him, so he prefers vinyl to always get the best possible sound on different systems.
In 2011, Helikon Radio in Keszthely, Koktél, gave him a regular opportunity as resident DJ and editor to make his style available on terrestrial broadcasting in the region.
In 2015, he and his friend AeRo founded the Euphonic Moments event series, which has since become a show on Tilos Radio (Budapest, FM 90.3 and online).
The Dub Techno-focused broadcasts can be heard bi-weekly, featuring guest mixes from Hungarian and international DJs who do quality work, alongside the hosts.
From 2023 onwards, he was given the opportunity to be a resident at Technodub Seance events, Hungary's first Dub Techno project, which is well established in the scene.
Among others, he has appeared at events and clubs such as Club Dallas, Bloom Bar, Nemdebár, Mika Tivadar Mulato, Larm, Dürer Kert, Piknik Manufaktúra, Gátőrház, Aurora, Telep, Müszi, Deep Vision Night Camp, Phonoda Camp, Level, Turbina, Kerdő and of course Tilos Radio parties, as well as in numerous national and international podcasts.
