About:
Protect, short for "We Must Protect This House" is a call to action. To protect this house is to protect your inner spirit. As a registered nurse and mental health advocate, Protect is dedicated to a life of service on & off the decks. He is the co-founder of the Saint Peterburg-based dance crew & label SPS Cxllective. The Cxllective is focused on helping elevate the Florida house & dance community. It's important to them that the culture is continually pushed forward so that it may evolve & survive. Although raised in a household of junglists & techno heads, Protect has gravitated towards the world of minimal. He also runs a series called "Minimally Invasive", founded in 2019. This mix submitted for Deep Electronics is meant to showcase the diversity in sounds that Protect brings to the table.

*artwork/photo is Hedley Jones. Jamaican musician, audio engineer, and designer/builder of Jamaica's first sound systems. he called the speaker cabinets "houses of joy".

RE.vila is a music producer from Liverpool, England. He started to produce music at University in 2018, with his musical interest crossing borders of house, techno and recently acousmatic music. His musical journey began around 1998 listening to club nights on the radio, this started his passion for the world of dance music. Ever since, he has listened and collected vinyl and digital issues of various styles of house and techno. RE.vila is now concentrating on the sound of dub techno where his original and remix work have gained the attention of various labels from across the globe.
