This song began as an acoustic guitar and vocals stem written and performed by Steve. He sent it to Josh, who added the undulating staccato bass line, with the help of Ken's always well-suited drums. They went back and forth a couple of times, as is their process, until it clicked. Tez added some really dynamic leads and fills throughout, and Stephen filled in the rest of the electric guitar in a Keith/Ronnie kind of way, which is very tasteful. JJ then added some perfectly complimentary organ. Finally, Ken pleasantly surprised us with the low vocal harmonies. 
Stephen also mixed and produced this one for us. He's brilliant behind the board, and we're lucky to have him aboard. This one came together in a matter of a relatively short period of a fortnight, which is rare for the Eclectic Collective. But, when something is hot and already put together, it comes quickly. We all hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed putting it together.

This was the poem and notes track but decided to just have the song as I don't like flooding the profile when a collab is getting absorbed. But this one says release now all day to TBD...

The idea here is to create a data base and or social network that is not for profit and is powered by a collective community with the rooted drive and desire to categorise real music and focus on amplifying only that.

It could evolve to a multimedia based network that based on music could become the first non profit competitor to social networks currently poisoning people's minds. Imagine having one music built that could fix that or at least give people a place to go knowing they weren't going to told what to do.... Dream land

Herby Records started as a bored pandemic project between Frank Herbertson (management) and Justin Jackley (graphic design) in 2020. It was originally intended as a vehicle for Justin’s artwork and as a way to help promote our many musician friends around the world by releasing/re-releasing existing albums bearing Justin’s artwork already and making new ones. We quickly decided to set a goal of releasing 100 records over 10 years and then creating and releasing a book with a physical double 10” compilation album in 2030. We are currently well beyond the halfway point in physical releases, and this digital only free compilation album commemorates that milestone.

We would like to thank the dozens of musicians that have been a part of Herby Records for the past 5 years and allowed us to release their artistry - mostly on limited edition lathe-cut records from 13 to 25 copies and 5 releases as traditionally pressed vinyl records in editions of 100 to 200. We have worked with and are currently working with lots of great artists that create music in the genres of Psychedelic, Surf, Kraut, Doom, Drone, Punk, Dungeon Synth, and Avante-garde Experimental stuff that is often pretty “out there”. The connecting factor is that it is all music that we like! Thanks to Simon Feret (Psych9 Records) for putting up with the beast of a 70-year-old Rek-O-Kut lathe-cut machine in Guatemala and personally cutting most of our records and collaborating on and co-releasing many albums with Herby Records.

Thanks to the ongoing support of It’s Psychedelic Baby Magazine for interviewing and sharing our musicians’ music and Ross Beattie (It’s Psychedelic Baby Podcast) and Salvatore Tornabene (Thee Midnight Snack) for playing our records on the airwaves.

Thank you Adam Majdecki-Janicki for being the first musician to release an album on Herby Records in 2020 under A.J.
