	This song takes it's inspiration from Cugel, self styled “the Clever”, the protagonist in two of Jack Vance's “Dying Earth” novels.    He a small time rogue, thief, con-man, fence and general all purpose survivor in a world that demands quick wits, fast feet and utterly no conscience.   Not a nice person.
	People like Cugel have existed in our own world throughout history, still exist in our own time, and very likely will continue to exist for the entire future of humankind.   If you have never encountered such a person, it is possibly because you have led a sheltered life.

This song is an ode to my kids...it's about when relationships fall apart, and how you have and need to fight for your children. It aint their fault. This tune has done very well on the net in a previous version, this latest version is taken from our self titled new LP The Mental Straights, enjoy folks, bass player Ant's particular favourite! Welcome to the conclusion of project 812 an Alt Rock/EDM fusion attempt.  Arguably one of the most challenging projects I have run to date.  A wonderfully talented crew to run with and everyone slotted into a strong suit.

My Spear Les Paul is one of my favorite guitars. Very light and slim built, great output and great rock sound. This music piece is in the style of 80/90 years rock music and I like that very much.

I have never, as a solo artist,  played an instrumental at a gig - but, not entirely by accident, I have written a few.   Well, you know, SoundCloud is full of instrumentals, so I thought I'd post at least one.
	Some years ago I decided to check out the possibilities in 3:4 (the waltz meter) – and this was one of the results.   This piece, which could be subtitled: “fun with piano, organ, double bass and guitar”, actually bears more resemblance to the last 200 meters of a Tour de France stage than to a waltz, but hey, J Strauss I am not!

Hello Soundcloud, thanks for the Listens, Likes and Support. Im from Melbourne Australia, I have been playing guitar for many years now and played in two bands during the 80's & 90's (STOLEN CAR original) & (STORM cover),both bands never released any material. Since 2010 i have been writing songs and tunes and recording them in my music room (3rd Bedroom), i play Guitar, Bass, Keys, BFD2 Drums(programmed)and Vocals on all of my songs which i class as Demo's, I love all types of music but Hard Rock, Rock to Alternative appeals to me most.
