decorating time (2022 promo mix)

YO! I am thrilled to present my 2023 promo mix. I haven't released many individual tunes over the past couple years while I've focused on writing, exploring, and defining my sound a little better. This mix is the culmination of a lot of work with new gear, new techniques, and new perspectives. 

I sometimes feel like I should be working a little harder to finish up tracks and release things more often, but there's something I really love about staying quiet for a while and then then dropping a large body of new work. The promo mix format always reminds me of discovering early promo mixes from some of my favorite artists, and the feeling of getting to go on a new sonic journey. I love hearing new tracks in the context of a mix, and it's a lot of fun to present material in this format. Additionally, I love that I can include a bunch of bootlegs and other samples I could never clear for distribution.

All that said. . . I'm really stoked on some of these tunes and I do think some of them will get a proper release. Leave a comment or shoot me a message if you hear something you like :) Thanks so much for listening, and I hope some of these songs resonate with you!

In summer 2017, Moth Circuit and Michael T Bruner hit it off in Michael’s young home studio. This song found itself in the vortex of their first-time collaboration, propelled with a few odd and ends. The vulnerable and introspective narrative of the song was born from both Moth Circuit's dynamic beat, a forgotten voicemail, and Michael drawing on his own life and imagination.

Watching the rapid rise of DNMO has been quite an exciting treat since his debut just a few years ago. The young UK prodigy has been making serious waves in bass music recently: he performed at EDC Las Vegas last month and released his debut Definition Forbidden EP back in April via Deadbeats.
