Heîk is the solo project of the Mexican, Hugo Ibarra, who is no stranger to the label. With previous releases under other aliases such as Natural Flow and  ostil, we now have the pleasure of releasing his debut EP on the label under his new moniker.

"Resilience" the opener track, is a beat-less intro, full of haunting melodies, pulsating synths and textures that play with each other building up a beautiful dark story. A perfect beginning to introduce us into the world of Heîk.

"Apeiron" takes us to the dance-floor mood. A great groove, percussion and synths start building tension throughout the track, leading us to the main melody, which is a super catchy synth pattern, accompanied by textures, pads and glitchy sounds.

On the remix duties, Gardens of God, who has also released on the label on Odd Echoes' V.A., reworks the track into a more energetic version, keeping the essence of the original, but adding a super catchy and fat synth, which takes us to another dimension.

To close the EP, He k presents another cut for the dance-floor, "Arcane", in which an ascending synth with an arpeggio style predominate through the whole track. Melodies, pads and bass stabs play all along as the track keeps developing.

"Halcyon" is the most emotional track of the EP, a perfect closure full of chords, textures and melancholic vibes, with subtle synths, that take you into the perfect trip.

XPLORE is a bi-monthly show by Andrømeda on @Threadsradio which will be showcasing artists around the world, exposing local talent in selected cities and exploring the diversity of electronic music. 

Born and bred in Spain, Annie Hall started DJing in 2003 and releasing music since 2005 on labels such as Tresor Berlin, Detroit Underground, 20/20 Vision Recordings, Semantica Records, CPU Records, Delsin Records and Natural Selection.  She has a passion for experimenting with new sounds and creating tracks with raw synthesis. Her music is full of intensity and dark brooding twists intertwined with melodies that give them warmth and power. Gaining recognition for her unique expression, Annie Hall has played around the world in places such as Tomorrow Land in Belgium, Detroit Movement Festival and Dommune in Tokyo.

Based in London, Claus Fuss is a classically trained musician, composer and techno producer, who has been developing his own approach to minimal music.  In 2017, his solo debut on Khemia Records “Static Ace” was released on vinyl as a split EP with Broken English Club gaining recognition for its pristine cardio bleeps and rave hypnosis. In 2019, he co-founded the duo Lander, a collaboration between himself and the other half of Years Of Denial, Jerome Tcherneyan. Their critically acclaimed debut EP was released in 2021 on Dutch electronic music label Crème Organization. Claus has also co-created and co-founded the live techno duo OneOneOne in collaboration with DJ Klose One. Described as  'Seven minute techno epics' and 'hard hitting clubbangers' their first release 'A' became something of an underground anthem followed by a second EP released on Dusky’s 17Steps records in 2020. Their most recent EP came out this March on Khemia Records including a video of their live performance released on HATE.

Jensky started DJing in 2005 and since then has become a regular performer at some of the most recognized clubs and festivals in Poland. He has played alongside household names such as Dax J, Chris Liebing, Psyk, Objekt, Neil Landstrumm and many more. Filip was born with a significant hearing loss, forcing him to wear deaf aids. This inspired him to create a second project under the alias ‘Deaf Can Dance’ focusing on downtempo music. During his DJ career of 17 years, Jensky has explored many genres and has put on many different faces. Throughout his musical journey, he has become renowned and respected for his fascination with various shades of electronic music.

For the 10th edition of Xplore, I had the honour to invite a legend and icon of the techno scene who helped define the sound of rave music in the early 90s. 

C.J. Bolland is a British/Belgian electronic music producer and DJ who helped define the sound of rave music in the early 1990s. Bolland has released numerous albums and EPs and performed at some of the biggest electronic music festivals around the world. With his innovative sound and technical prowess, Bolland remains a highly respected figure in the dance music scene, and continues to influence future generations of producers and DJs.

Kicking off the new year in style, Andrømeda welcomes a groundbreaking artist from Berlin whose work embodies the spirit of originality and innovation in the global techno scene. 

Prepare to be swept away by Maedon’s live set recorded at Compound in LA on 31st Dec/1st Jan 2024 - a raw and uncompromising showcase of techno at its finest. Andrømeda starts the show with a thirty-minute warm-up, honouring the late Silent Servant by featuring some of the latest tracks he released before his passing in January.

Immersed in the realms of industrial and wave music, Maedon honed her craft, drawing inspiration from the underground scenes of her hometown Baltimore, Philadelphia. It was her arrival in New York City in 2018 that marked a pivotal moment in her career. Embracing the ethos of Sonic Groove and collaborating with techno powerhouse Adam X, Maedon's sonic identity developed, captivating audiences worldwide with its raw power and authenticity. Three years later, Maedon stands at the forefront of the techno landscape. With two albums under her belt and a collaborative project with Adam X on the legendary Tresor imprint, her voice resonates with power and authenticity. She launched her own label Rant & Rave in 2023, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of techno and championing female artists.

Ambre is a french music producer and co-founder of the Berlin based audiovisual label FUROR. The live set bellow, is a mix between his techno project and his experimental one created for audiovisual shows as Meer.

Through ethnic and occult rythmics, he composes a dead world where the ancestral voices are smothered by industrial overtones. His sound shapes the end of human being, as a disastrous and apocalyptic chant across dark wastelands. The melodies don’t give any choice face to the fate : the black waves bring you into the deeper darkness of your own mind, without any way to escape. Far from fantasy, the amber petrifies your inner soul into his somber feelings of the reality.
