An extraordinary renegade talent, Dave's carved a career playing and making the finest underground electronic music charged with unrelenting energy and a punk ethos. Dave's influential album 'Archive One' was released in 1995 to critical acclaim - listed as one of John Peel's top 20 albums of all time. This was followed up with 2003's 'Devils Advocate' which continued to showcase his dedication to musical diversity laced with an incendury spirit. 

In 2001, he released the World Service Techno/Electro mixes, which are as integral to the scene today as they were then. He subsequently released a follow up before 'The Desecration Of Desire' came out in 2017. His live sets are legendary and have to be seen to be believed. Hear him play every week on his radio show for RTE which has over 800 episodes.

This is a demo track for a brand new synth plugin by Plogue Art & Technologie from Montreal. This one is called OPS-7 and emulates a Yamaha DX7. Since I'm accustomed to use the YM2612, this was a nice upgrade.

This is a fade-out version: I had much earlier started this song, and it currently is 5:40 long. I cruelly had to cut/hack/slash a 3:30 long edit of this (bcoz of the rules in the competition), so now this ends at 3:30 and after that there is 2 patterns (15sec) material for DJ to perform the DJ-mix to next song, and after that just 2 patterns (15sec) of basic fade-out.

If there's anyone who wants to get into making covers on FamiTracker but doesn't know where to start, I'd recommend trying out this song. It's pretty simple but also is groovular.

Program Rhythm (2A03 + MMC5)

Picture, if you will: it's 1989 and you've just bought a new Konami Egyptian themed RPG on the Nintendo Famicom. You plug it in carefully and turn it on; the opening scene begins - in-game we navigate to a mighty pyramid and enter its dusty corridors with only a match, some tinder and a small torch to light our way...  

Alternatively you can picture me spending Sunday grinning like a prat trying to cram this rather complex Radiohead tune into a dead console audio format with only 7 simultaneous tuned notes for no reason whatsoever :P
