Tremendously imaginative adaptation of the source material… I tried and failed ☹️ Loved the bass, the little string motifs and keyboards 🙏

A tour de force of blended styles, rhythms and instrumentation, played with skill made to sound easier than it probably was. I thoroughly enjoyed this new piece, although as usual with your compositions it took time to catch the structure/themes/melodies/key changes that were going on. Loved the combination of the Fender Rhodes and fretless bass. The opening hit was surprising, the short brass figures added accents and interest. There’s a jazz patina that influenced a lot of the chord work. The vibe sound that carried the melody is well-chosen. I particularly liked hearing the real piano. The false ending was interesting and unexpected. The whole thing is underpinned by some interesting percussions/drums musically played. I found the electric piano swinging across the stereo a bit odd and felt it didn’t add anything significant (other than making me feel a bit dizzy!) It was quite a feat piecing this all together, very clever. More please. 😊 Jb

Decent Sampler Venus Theory Strands (Harmonic Solo, Long Bow Solo, Short Bows Group and Tremble Solo) provide the sounds.
GeoShred (with my help) plays the lead via a modified control surface.
SWAM Viola (Ancona instrument) provides the sounds.
All recorded and played in AUM in one take.

This is a second collaboration with frenq ( hearthis.at/frenq/ ) from the Loopy Pro forum.
I played the Alto Flute (SWAM VariFlute) and (SWAM) Alto Sax solos on my iPad using GeoShred. 
Frenq came up with the idea, original composition, played all the other instruments and did all the mixing… in short, an amazing job 🙏
We sincerely hope you like the end result

Funky Fried Chicken

I chose 2 recent unfinished tracks, that I had considered layering prior to the disquiet prompt… so I did just that, I set up 2 channels one for each track, one slowed by 10% to roughly match the longer track, I simply adjusted levels for each and had a shared bus channel with additional eq and reverb(s), this in turn joins the originals in the master, which also has some lofi fx and more(!) reverb… recorded the output. Blue In Green

Back in September 2025 on the Loopy Pro Forum, Paul (@pbelgium) posted a 4 bar acoustic guitar loop ‘Free For All’ and invited contributions using this starter that could be cut up and mangled as anyone pleased.

A further contribution featuring horns and trumpets came from @McD.

I’ve used both samples with various manipulations in a range of settings to end up with a composition framing Rhodes piano and fretless bass solos. Hope you enjoy the journey. Thanks for listening.
