Since school friends Simon Lister and Peter Wilson became PEOPLE GET REAL, the duo have steadily gained a reputation amongst dance music’s elite as genuinely passionate DJs with a distinctly diverse musical taste which they bring to the party every time they play.

Over the past ten years they’ve brought this approach to clubs and parties across the world; from Japan’s Nakameguru district to regular bookings in Spain and France as well as annual soirées to Croatia to perform at both Hideout and Unknown Festival. Pairing this with their continuing residencies at Leeds up and coming Canal Mills and clubbing institution The Garden Party has further cemented their notoriety as DJs who understand how the dancefloor works and has seen them play alongside artists including; Ricardo Villalobos, Dixon, Jackmaster and many more.

Alongside their DJing schedule they continue with their production work with long-time studio collaborator John-Paul Denton. This musical output has brought them a new level of respect from some of the biggest names in modern dance music, including Tiga, Andrew Weatherall, Optimo, and a whole host of other forward thinking DJs and electronic artists.

Over the past 3 years their label “Join Our Club” has gone from strength to strength and has seen them release not only their own work but also music and remixes from Daniel Avery, John Tejada, Ivan Smagghe (It’s a Fine Line), and many more.

Launched in 2010, THE REFLEX is a project from producer / DJ Nicolas Laugier, a French national based in the UK since 1998. Following on the footsteps of remix / DJ edit pioneers Larry Levan, Shep Pettibone, François Kevorkian or John Luongo, The Reflex somewhat redefined the remix rules book by using stems and multitracks to craft fresh, innovative versions (dubbed ’revisions’) from classics tracks and artists, genre-hopping through the decades and styles with ease, combining creativity and functionality with often spectacular results.
With constant support from superstar DJs, tastemakers, A-list artists and creatives to high profile brands / events through to bedroom DJ’s, The Reflex revisions are now part of the musical landscape.

Clocking over 100M+ streams, The Reflex is a multi-faceted artist that has lent his skills to ads for Louis Vuitton, Karl Lagerfeld, to remixes for the biggest names in pop and dance music, to extensive catalogue revisits for the likes of London Records, Salsoul/Westend and Zagora/Because, to a long standing collaboration with Noel Gallagher and to legendary artists like Joe Walsh (Eagles), Cerrone, Kathy Sledge, Blondie, Michel Polnareff, Nile Rodgers, Rita Lee, Kid Creole and more.
Boasting a strong online following and a loyal fanbase, including 322,000+ fans on YouTube, The Reflex is now ready to move into original productions; his first artist track “Weekend” has been snapped up by Glitterbox for release in May, with Ibiza / Malta gigs and a Defected Basement mix lined up to support the arrival of this first single.
On his own vinyl label Discolidays, The Reflex has collaborated with Because Music in Paris re-imagining the catalogue from (Daft Punk) Thomas Bangalter’s father, Daniel Vangarde, and his label Zagora while showcasing his remix work for Cerrone, Patrice Rushen, D.C. LaRue, Nile Rodgers ft Nubiyan Twist, Bruise and others to commercial and critical acclaim.

Fabrice Lig is considered by his peers & techno fans around the globe as a world class producer.

He is well known for his particularly funky use of Roland’s sh101 analog synth, and for his particularly emotional and personal melodies and harmonies.

There is no doubt that after more than 20 years of teaching himself production processes, complex midi programming and harmonies, Fabrice’s sound is unique and recognisable among the thousands of weekly techno releases.

Demonstrations of these skills appear on the crème de la crème of electronic music labels such as KMS (Kevin Saunderson), Planet-e (Carl Craig), Submerge, R&S, Third Ear, 7th City Records (Dan Bell), F-Communications (Laurent Garnier) , Versatile, Classic, Compost, Subject Detroit, Motech, Raygun, Playhouse Records, Kanzleramt (Heiko Laux), 70 Drums (Ken Ishii), Clone, Trapez ltd and so on...An exceptional discography into mythic labels, into history of electronic music.
By the end of 1998, after his first DJ and production experiences, under the Interwaves and Bug Orchestra nicknames, Fabrice was elevated to the ranks of the Detroit musical elite by Mad Mike himself, thanks to his classic remix of E-Dancer’s Banjo track on KMS: “Fabrice is a part of Detroit music's history by being the first white producer to record on KMS, and the first double groove recording from NSC”.
Fabrice has built a solid discography and reputation, confirmed by his reknowned appearances at the world’s best clubs & festival line ups such as Panorama Bar-Berlin, Fabric - London, Womb-Tokyo, Detroit Fuse-In Festival, Fuse - Brussels, Loft - Barcelona, Sub Club - Glasgow, The End - London, Sonar Festival, world famous official Montreux Jazz Festival, Bourges festival (On stage with Jean-Michel Jarre ), to name but a few. One of the highlight of Fabrice dj career is the paper into Detroit Free press where his performance was voted best dj Set of 2005’s Detroit Fuse-in Festival.
Fabrice also collaborated and remixed some artists like Laurent Garnier, Kevin Saunderson, Agoria, DJ Hell, Ken Ishii, Kenny Hawkes, Rob Mello, Frederic Galliano, Chymera, Trüby Trio…
After his last Soul Designer's album on Third Ear (2007), Fabrice decided to take a bit of a break from music and concentrate on some educational projects. Nevertheless, he released his classic Purple Raw EP on Versatile in that period, as well as some own EPs on R&S, Subject Detroit, .. next to a few remixes. Over the last few months however, Fabrice quietly prepared the celebration of 20 years of music by producing a new album with the idea to make a strong “come back” with fresh material for late 2014.
And when Carl Craig first heard "Galactic Soul Odysseys", he instantly decided to invite Fabrice to join Planet E's prestigious family. Once again, Fabrice work is entering history of music through one of the most respected labels from the techno community.
Fabrice is really excited to be back on tour for live performances around the globe and to present that new material to his fans...

As Jean-Michel Jarre said in an interview for MTV : "What is touching me in Fabrice Lig's career is the way he is following his own line, without caring about trends, and that's the path an artist should follow. It is not post Detroit, it's an emotion"


The Garage is a Club/Bar/Record Shop and creative hub which launched in Leeds on the 31st of March 2012 and went on to win DJ Mag's esteemed UK small club of the year award within 9 months of being open. 

The project is a labour of love created by local bar owner Stephen Hawkins, Back to Basics residents Tristan Da Cunha and Frenchy, and artist Victoria Topping. The multi functional venue is designed by lovers of music for lovers of music and features the kind of attention to detail that make it one of the most fresh and unique creative spaces in the UK and beyond. 

The name The Garage was an easy one to decide upon; the space was being used as a car garage prior to it’s over haul, and with a respectful nod to New York’s legendary Paradise Garage club, the name could not have fitted more perfectly. Converted from an old firehouse the club has kept the best of its original features - the brickwork, black & yellow Hacienda style girders and industrial fan all remain – while the new features include an outrageous DJ booth that’s converted from an original New York Chevrolet fire truck, a jaw dropping full wall art piece from Victoria, a sound system for the connoisseur that’s been crafted by people who understand that this is the most important part of the club, lighting that compliments the vibe perfectly without being overbearing, and of course a bar installed by one of Leeds’ most respected bar owners. The overall feel of the main room is a well needed alternative to the big shiny new clubs in Leeds, creating an intimate stripped down less-is-more feel, taking inspiration from trips to Berlin clubs and illegal party venues. The aim is for the environment to be perfectly formed, but for the focus to be on the music and people. 

The rest of the venue is far from stripped down and as you walk from the club to the Waxwerks area the transition is from raw to phwoar! Running in conjunction with the club is WaxWerks. Operating as a record shop and bar during daylight hours, when night falls the record cabinets are buckled down and the space functions as second room for the club and special one-off parties. In this area the focus is very much on design. Every part has been treated as an opportunity for artistic expression and contains one off individual features that really create the venue’s personality, even down to themed toilet cubicles. Stocking predominantly house and disco records but of course keeping an open ear, Waxwerks is very proud to be bringing a vinyl culture back to Leeds. Frenchy said ‘This is something we feel has been lacking in the city for years and we believe now is the perfect time to re-introduce it. The WaxWerks is a place where like minded people can grab the latest releases and exclusives, have a drink and a catch up, get the info on what’s going on where at the weekend, and always see a friendly face in a cosy environment.’ Featuring a super cool old skool ghetto blaster DJ booth, listening posts and racks of wax for flicking through, sofas and coffee tables for chilling, individual art pieces and prints on the walls for sale, exclusive in store appearances from DJ’s playing live on webcam, one off music and film nights and a whole host of other things, the place is buzzing with activity. Stocked and run by Tristan and Frenchy alongside a co operative of local DJ’s, producers and record label owners you can be sure that the music selection will be the finest, from people who live for music and partying and know exactly what your requirements are for both.

The Garage has already become the place to go for the heads that know in Leeds. With nights hosted by Basics, Lowbrow, Nest, selective Hearing, Set One Twenty, Disco Till I Die, Throwing Shapes and more, The Garage is making it’s mark already and has been voted UK Small Club of the Year by DJ Mag readers, as well as reaching Mixmags top 10 clubs, and polling at no.73 in the DJ Mag top clubs in the world list.
