Simple and perhaps minimalist, as described in the introductory caption, and very effective and evocative in describing scenarios and atmospheres as suggested by the title...

I sense a crisis here where the gubernator realises he has to steer away from heading into the waves in order to make the safe harbour. Excellent piece!

It would be perfect with more realistic orchestral sound!

liner notes part 1: 
Well laid down an enthralling, fast-paced, sweaty-eyed dancefloor track, calling it an open collab. 
Stonerjazz picked it up, marrying it to his expressive voice and instruments. As the ancient art of 
maieutic (look it up) serendipity (look this one up as well) would have it, Jeff and I had just finished 
an amazing poem which finely expressed what he heard in Well's sound. I can only guess how many 
hours he spent adding this, fine-tuning that, getting the balance right. In the end it sat there, all 
groomed in its weekday suit and asked to go out and play. Yeah, why don't you do that? (That's how 
jo tells the story at least).

My good and dear friend Jo Richter and I have been practicing a form of commando Free 
association poetry for a little bit now, Firing multiple replies to each others words across the void, 
rapidly --This Poem is one such project-- Initially done lightning Fast and then refined and modified 
for lyrical Flow and meaning-- To further complicate the process, i with Jo's encouragement used 
these word and some Sounds from my deepmind 6 to answer an open collaboration with music by 
our friend Well aka Hakan Skeneby - (That's what Jeff says).

 in the nick of time
 he gave in to dissent
 for the mute perceptive mime
 manically made him raise his head and unmaimed hand in mine
 praise the unerring rebellion
 in subconsentious unison 
the empty shells of every single silly little thing
 ahh, the knell, the bells, fashioned from our fathers’ coral vaults 
selling out, shelling round, all around in disarray 
vainly making everybody wane and wade into the fray
 with withered, bamboo-watered canes - - - fracking shist
 where our homes are still purported to exist
 while scattered scraps of all things past, scantily, scantily clad, 
protrude and flutter in the wind, strained and restrained by the net 
of pleasant pleas -  and subltleties are colors bright and crude -

Especially now, it is invaluable to remain level-headed, wise, creative, and above all, hopeful in this artificially created chaos. In every backward movement the corresponding antagonistic forward move is already present in itself. Long live the future, long live the liberal democracy.

This is a new and extended version of a song I uploaded some time ago (https://soundcloud.com/user-630984439/silent-dream).

I composed and recorded this version while I made a YouTube video with pictures taken this summer on Costa da Morte, Spain, because I think the music suits the pictures quite well. See the video on https://youtu.be/GCg8dhP8Z5s

"In the Beginning" is about the first steps towards accepting the reality of a devastating diagnosis, and the desire to create a new identity after going through such a life-changing experience. the bittersweet melody of the trumpet reflects the deep emotions associated with this inner struggle to move forward, and reluctance to leave the past behind.

Dedicated to acclaimed pianist Lemuel Grave, ‘Waltz Awaiting’ was written as a gesture of thanks for the interest he has shown in my music, and for performing it.

The pianist in this instance is Jeanell Carrigan

Dr Jeanell Carrigan AM is presently an Associate Professor in Collaborative Piano at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney. She has performed as a soloist, chamber musician and accompanist in Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and throughout Australia, and has recorded for the Bavarian Radio Corporation, the ABC and for regional stations in Australia on many occasions. She holds a Doctor of Creative Arts in the area of Australian post-1970 solo piano repertoire and in May, 2016 released her seventeenth solo compact disc of Australian piano music. She is passionate about promoting Australian Music particularly the piano music of Australian women composers. In a review of the CD A Little Variation, composer Houston Dunleavy said “This recording is one to add to the list of treasures of Australian music that seem to be growing by the year. Surely Jeanell Carrigan belongs in this category as well. Australian music has a great champion in Carrigan’s fine playing and scholarship. She deserves far wide recognition for the quality of her work.” (Music Trust 1/4/15)

Recorded in August/ September 2017 in Verbrugghen Hall at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

The piano was the Fazioli concert grand tuned and maintained by David Kinney.

Decided to get back to what got me into writing for films in the first place, orchestral adventure scores! 

So in this piece I've try to encapture themes of wonder, danger, action, heroism and beauty.
