Sorin Simon has always been attracted to music and it all started in his childhood
home of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, where he took piano lessons while still in school.

 in 2017 Sorin moved definitively to London where he started
playing different underground events all around London. A year later, he signed to Vivus Records, an underground/independent and vinyl-only label from South Germany. 

Sorin has played at multiple festivals both in Romania and abroad such as Monegros Desert Festival, Sonar Off in Spain, Back To The Wild and Electric Castle in Romania.

Thank you Sorin for this eclectic selection compostion, a real journey.

Over the past few years, Leeds-based producer and DJ Oscar Jones has been in the studio developing and refining his sound, blending influences from the Romanian and UK minimal scenes which can be heard in his latest releases with Tranquil, Duboka and Below Records. Oscar has also proven himself as a competent DJ and avid digger, bringing his unique selections of stripped-back rolling minimal to support the likes of Traumer, Jasper James and Laidlaw.

True to his signature, the original leans into analog warmth and a strong sense of narrative flow, shaped by years spent in the Frankfurt scene that nurtured his sound. The release is completed by two distinctive remixes: Kyotto, the Sri Lankan artist known for his melodic storytelling and underground sound, and CAMILA (AR), a rising talent from Argentina whose hypnotic progressive style is gaining international attention. Vlad offers a dark minimal opening, in an ocean of textures and tiny details. Supported by efficient basslines, a Slavic vocal mesmerize the listener. It’s only then that a shift in the mood occurs, drifting to groovy rominimal tracks and high-energy dream sequences. For all the duration of the journey, the artist carefully oscillates between light tracks and darker joints in a powerful combo. At times, we shiver with nasty laughs and creepy monk chants that recall occult ceremonies. We find the light again with stellar driving joints, and it goes on and on, with a cool human feeling in the mixing. The ending fades away on an abstract flavour that keep the mind in a meditative state for a moment.
