James Corbett loves nothing more than to see the smiles and moves from a connected and captivated audience, and especially engage in the transfer of energy that only a vibe filled dance floor can provide. 

A Sydney resident that was Adelaide born but resided in the UK in his early years, he first discovered dance music through listening to late night shows on BBC Radio 1 which sparked his passion for mixing as early as 9yrs old, where he experimented mixing on twin tape decks. Today however, he's a label DJ for the highly renowned United Beats Records label owned by Mad Maxx.

Corbett’s sound is heavily focused in the realms of Full-On Psy Trance, with his sets full of melodic leads, distinctive bass lines and all-round atmosphere. That’s not to say that you won’t hear a little bit of Progressive or maybe even a splash of other types of Psy Trance, because he’s all about the journey and adaptability. He is renowned not only for his silky-smooth mixing ability, but for structuring his sets in a way that build and maintain a high vibrational energy on the dance floor, coupled also with the fact that his sets are never planned beyond the point of playlist of options, Corbett is a DJ that keeps the true craft of DJing alive, and has done since his career began in 2001 spinning hard house and trance. 

He has established himself on the Australian and International festival circuit having graced the stages at the likes of Tree of Life Festival in Greece, AUM Festival in New Zealand, Earthcore & Babylon in Victoria (the latter two under in his duo The Psy-entists). He is regularly booked to support major acts in the club circuit which have included the likes of Ace Ventura, Liquid Soul, Astrix, Infected Mushroom and so much more. 

In 2011 Corbett co-founded Psy-ence Fiction with best friend and the other half of The Psy-entists, Adam Stapleton. This events brand has seen Adelaide get placed on the international touring map thanks to having the likes of Mad Maxx, GMS, Nikki S, Menog, Digicult, Reality Test, Infected Mushroom, Juno Reactor, Vini Vici, Grouch (and many more) grace their stage either solely under the Psy-ence Fiction brand or in conjunction with other events like interstate events brands. Psy-ence Fiction has since expanded into Sydney and will likely spread its wings elsewhere in years to come. 

Corbett’s skillset doesn’t lay just with performing at and hosting events however, he is quite the entrepreneur with a wealth of involvement in music media under his belt such as Mushroom Magazine, DJ Mag, Inthemix to name a few. He’s also co-produced a music documentary called Decks and the City, and has recently been getting into the art of interviewing key artists in the industry, with his first two interviews having been held with Phaxe and Ace Ventura, he’s mostly certainly set the bar very high from the get go.

In the midst of the 2020 global pandemic, Corbett launched his new online radio show Psyence Lab, which plays host to Australian and International artists new releases, guest interviews and guest mixes.

Needless to say, Corbett has a strong community ethic engrained in everything he does and his sets are consistent. One thing for certain, he thrives on the journey and contributing his positive dose of energy into the world of Psy Trance.

Jeannie Solar , electronic producer, Dj, founder and owner of Solar Records, and is one of Australia’s East coast longest running Psytrance Female Djs and producers.
Her epic adventure with the Australian psytrance community started with Djing in Byron Bay and Sydney in the late 90’s. Extending her music career to Europe playing in Czech Republic, Austria and Germany, as well as India, New Caledonia and New Zealand.

Jeannie has performed at festivals such as Svihov festival (Czech Republic),Beyond Spirit Festival (India), Earthdance (Australia and New Caledonia), Eclipse Festival (Cairns), Subsonic Music Festival (Sydney), DefQon (Sydney), Alien Nation (New Zealand), Illuminate Festival (New Zealand) Dragon Dreaming (ACT), Regens Regrowth Festival (ACT), Petes Ridge Festival (Sydney), Psyfari Festival (NSW), Bent Perception, New Psycle (Newcastle) plus many more.
Pulling inspiration from her foundation that was tradition morning psytrance she will move her sets around with fun energy to keep the dance floor interested using many flavours but mostly finding inspiration from the dance floor energy itself as the set builds. Jeannie’s unique Dj style has led her though playing full on morning psytrance, to transitional progressive and solid basey psy-prog. Jeannie adapts to the current new innovative artists styles and laces it throughout her sets finding a balance of deep melodic flowing progressive and the chunkier fat assed bass psytrance. Seeking to find equilibrium of the energy that will help a dance floor rock she uses dash’s of Techno with Progressive Trance. With fresh genre styles to appeal to the contemporary and old school ears.
Jeannie is inspired by many of these landmark artists and labels to create a funky, melodic, deep, beautiful, chunky and powerful journey with huge drops & a huge smile for the love of everything doof.

Sonic Butterfly’s sound is an eclectic blend of East meets West meets Alien embracing Goa/Psy music in her many forms. Her sets are a true, heart led psychedelic journey to the realms, underlined by deep, energetic shifts mixed with the experience of nearly 20 years behind the decks, and a true reverence to the art of mixing.


From melodic sunrise sets transforming sound and dancefloors into the light of day, leading loud, joyous stomps in the dust and more mysterious journeys through the darkest hours of the night, Sonic Butterfly is recognised as a strong, female Goa/Psy DJ in her own right, known for her capability to play across any event soundscape. She brings a profound understanding how frequencies drive her dancefloor, gained through study and practice of Sound Therapy/Healing under Grand Master Shree at the Kathmandu Centre of Healing and study of multiple disciplines at the British Academy of Sound Therapy. Many festival goers have experienced the energetic shifts of her work both on the dancefloor and in her sound workshops.


A regular on the underground bush doof scene in Victoria, Australia and increasing her presence into NSW as a member of the Australian 604 Collective, Sonic Butterfly has taken to the main stage of Luminate Festival New Zealand, online events for Suntrip Records, Geometric Records and the GOAMOON crew in California,  played Hydra Stage Earthcore, Australia and supported various international artists such as Bliss and Day Din.
