We are super excited to bring you Podcast 355 with the boundary-defying British DJ and producer Tommy Four Seven. Tommy has been a respected visionary in the international techno scene for almost two decades.

As accomplished in the studio as he is behind the decks, Tommy has built an extensive discography that's grown in parallel with his touring career. His critically acclaimed debut LP, Primate, imaginatively fused off-kilter rhythms with four-to-the-floor minimalism, while his follow-up album, Veer, excavated even more daring and driving techno-adjacent territory. 

47, Tommy’s own imprint, is responsible for some of the most innovative techno in the scene today. Its recent 2.0 relaunch has cemented his singular stylistic approach; in the last two years, it has showcased up-and-coming artists like Quelza, Tauceti and VSK, who stand for the sleek and sophisticated aesthetic that Tommy threads through his own mixes and productions. 

An authentic and ever-evolving tastemaker, Tommy’s keen curation remains as sharp as ever.

One of the most active players shaping contemporary Techno, Temudo has developed his own vocabulary creating a unique trademark sound.

His interpretation of the genre is made through a clinical approach, blending the soul of the genre with a modern and unorthodox methodology. With the rare ability to absorb and express different moods keeping the same signature sound, he manages to have the seal of a wide spectrum of labels like Klockworks, Blueprint, Soma or Warm Up - whose work speaks for itself.

As a DJ the sharp vision remains, delivering a fast paced eclectic journey with music from different time frames mixed in an coherent and elegant way. He’s one of the minds behind Hayes and runs his own Mastering Studio.

Strongly inspired by the dirty and energetic sound of the 90s, Brazilian-based artist Nicolas Vogler began his music career by DJing at underground events in his home country, developing over the years an extensive collection of tracks that reflect his keen research and unique musical identity. Through his typical funky, fast, and introspective sound, Nicolas started releasing his tracks through his own personal label NCLS which quickly gained notoriety and attracted support from renowned DJs worldwide. For AFP004 we welcome Helrad !! Born and bred in Naples, Helrad has been a lover of electronic music for over 20 years. Since moving to Scotland 3 years ago and starting to produce, he has been meticulously developing his sound. Taking influence from producers such at Slam, Silicone Soul and Joe Farr.

Since starting his label Helrad Limited over two years ago he has collaborated with Steve Still, Joe Farr, Stanislav Tolkachev and Hans Bouffmyhre. Helrad has been working on a forthcoming EP coming out on Joe Farr's label "User Experience" along with a track on Jamaica Suk's quadruple vinyl album which will be released later in the year along with some very familiar names.

24-year-old Glasgow emerging techno producer Katalysk has been a presence on the Scottish circuit for the past six years playing a host of reputable venues such as Club 69, La Belle Angele, Stereo, Biscuit Factory, La Cheetah and Flat o/1, along with a handful of undisclosed locations. Katalysk is in the process of developing his own sound which, like his playing style, is a coherent blend of tough and functional tracks that maintain hypnotic and rhythmic overtones.

Polish-born and Edinburgh-based, ona:v began DJing years ago, but only started playing in Edinburgh clubs in 2019. Since then, she played in some of Edinburgh's best techno venues, as well as secured residency at Fnoob Techno Radio and Edinburgh's EH-FM community radio. She also founded an all-female electro/techno DJ collective EPiKA - their launch night, scheduled for the beginning of April, was cancelled in the face of global pandemic. While this mix is very much about techno, you can typically expect a healthy dose of electro in her mixes. As the lockdown progresses, ona:v plays faster and faster.
