New mix for you and its goodie! 

Through the more positive connective powers of the metaverse, we became aware of Takumi after he commented on one of our crews mixes, forging a new friendship and prompting us to add him to a small trance FB community. Sharing music and insightful knowledge of his own involvement in the early 00's trance scene in Japan, naturally linked him with other collectives and label owners who have since hosted his mixes and been able to show case his selector skills.  Missing the boat slightly to extend our own invitation, the excitement when we did has clearly been channeled deeply into providing us with the prefect S:S mix that we're very happy to share.

Number one hundred & three presented by the Ghent, Belgium based KooDoo ( @karool ). It's always such a nice feeling being at a party or festival witnessing a set by someone you've never heard of that blows your mind. This was KooDoo at Waking Life on a beautiful sunny morning at the Floresta stage. A straight flowing warm groovy atmosphere for hours and pure dance floor bliss.

My friends and I loved his set so much I reached out for him to make an Animalia mix, so glad I did and what a beautiful result!

Having recently shifted geographical gears from the nation’s capital to the capital of dance, Zara’s suite of musical engagements in the form of original productions, DJing and label curation (Kinesis records) are fast taking shape and turning heads. Following two impressive singles on Phenomena and Pure Space, Zara celebrates the release of her outstanding debut EP on the now-Berlin based Salt Mines record label. Gliding gracefully into her place in the production world, Zara’s debut EP titled ‘Di Plastica’ combines the basslines of contemporary drum and bass, the driving percussion of deep ambient techno and the psychedelic sprinkles of 90s trance. Drawing from a range of influences, Zara has quickly established her own boundness sound which boasts her undeniable unfettered creativity. Her approach to DJing and mix-making further highlight her creativity and penchant for drawing out expressive qualities in music. Who/what currently inspires you music-wise that has nothing to do with music?

Water and light mostly 

What is your favorite party/collective where you reside and why?

Too many faves. Some heavy hitters off the top are Umami/Echo Flats/Heavenly/Community Chest. They are %100 in it for the experience. Community Chest is a joint force crew of about 7 great crews from Sydney – It’s kinda like when the power rangers come together to make that big robot fighter guy

What was your best moment at the supermarket?

They were playing Bill Withers in a Woollies once and it got me

What is your most recent favorite DJ mix and why?

Max D – Indie Rock on C- was maybe the last one that got me good. Max D only plays by Max D’s rules
