Industrial noise is the amount of acoustic energy received by an employee's auditory system when they are working in the industry. 

Industrial noise, or occupational noise, is often a term used in occupational safety and health, as sustained exposure can cause permanent hearing damage.


Machine noises seem to make up a fair amount of the common onomatopoeia.
 
Examples include: buzz, beep, whirr, click, clack, clunk, clatter, clink.

I thought I'd spend one evening making Psytrance and just upload it whatever it sounded like at the end of the day. Not really Psytrance I suppose, but that is a relief TBH.

This track was born out of two things: A rumble, and the MiniFreak virtual instrument. The rumble actually came second but quickly took center stage because I was so happy with it.

The MiniFreak is still there, it's the main melody that comes in later. The other synth stabs and tones are all Phase Plant.

I'm not sure whether this genre (melodic hardcore techno?) already exists - it certainly reminds me of those Thunderdome CDs I used to listen to in the 90s. Somebody suggested "melodic industrial", that definitely works for me.

Have fun with it! It's certainly slightly less smooth and relaxing than the last few things I've made.
