Trance was the genre that really got me hooked on electronic music, with its big, beautiful and energetic sound. After reading ID&T's story in "Celebrate Life" a few weeks ago, I put on Rank 1's live recording from Sensation 2001. That atmosphere, the tension, those melodies! Even with the low quality of the stream, I felt totally immersed in the experience.

Inspiration took over, and I immediately translated it into this track. Because of its legacy sound, I'm not making it a regular release, but here's a free download for you to enjoy :)

The title track from @luttrellmusic's debut album gets the remix treatment courtesy of Germany’s Lauer & the UK's Marsh in ‘Into Clouds (The Remixes: Part 1)’.

His first showing for Anjunadeep, Lauer’s remix sees the talented German producer melodically expand on the original's lofty riffs whilst Rising star Marsh takes it one deeper, plying wide atmospheric synths over a stuttered bassline.

"Inward Spiral" is taken from "Explorations 09", the latest offering in @Anjunadeep's acclaimed compilation series and it's Manchester producer @jozef-k label debut. The track is an airy arrangement of subtle sounding synthwork that plays like magic against the backdrop of stuttering claps and organic percussion, the track seems to be perfectly aimed at both dancefloors and sun-drenched festival grounds.

"I am inspired by all art that I am exposed to: from architecture to paintings to film and of course music - so it is quite hard to pinpoint a singular example.  I use artistic influences combined with my mood in the studio that day, so basically it was inspired by my whole life to that point, which I guess sounds slightly ridiculous but also very true. I felt there was an ethereal, introspective quality to the record, hence the title." - Jozef K

Enamour has come out of nowhere in the last year, the DC native putting in hours of dedication both in the studio and booth to claim numerous top 10 Beatport records and support from some of the biggest names in dance music, including Deep Dish, Lane 8, and Rufus. His collaboration with Rinzen, "Quark," made a huge splash this spring as part of our Four Points III package, and then he quickly followed up with an ace remix for Made By Pete. Now, Enamour makes his solo debut on Yoshitoshi with "Amnesia" and "Taboo," two blistering cuts that demonstrate exactly why the upcomer is a force to be reckoned with. 

"Amnesia" sits squarely between the worlds of techno and progressive house. It's an aggressive tune that effortlessly fuses a tough, peak-time groove with the wistful arpeggiated melodies that he has become known for. A beefy, distorted bass riff takes up the energy level even further, causing absolute wreckage in the club. "Taboo" is more of the same, but on a slightly deeper and tribal note. The track builds with incredible intensity as Enamour's analog synth crescendos and expertly programmed percussion lead into a powerhouse drop and true hands-in-the-air moment. 

It's truly exciting to see such talent from a DC producer, the city Yoshitoshi has called home since its inception in 1994. Enamour is a true talent to look out for. Grab "Amnesia / Taboo" on Beatport and Spotify on August 2nd.

Christian Nielsen is back on Sincopat this time for his first solo EP on the label. The Danish artist is a relentless person: office worker by day and music hero by night, he has definitely found his path in electronic music.
