Faustix & Imanos have a knack for transferring vocals to new places and spaces and on their debut Jeffree's EP titled Echoes, they've done just that. LIPS' tune "Everything to Me" is a guilty pleasure you'd hear while shopping with your girlfriend but be too embarrassed to Shazam. The Faustix & Imanos remix lands it into a perfect space of female acid pop that we can't seem to take off of repeat.

Next up, the duo work dark magic to bring you "Echoes feat. Data Romance," an original tune where Data Romances' haunting vocals meet a side-chained electrical surging bassline. Her simple yet deep voice somehow creates amazing contrast with the harder synths in the drop.

"Run Run Run The Trap" is a re-imagining of the Dragonette original "Run Run Run." It reminds me of what La Roux's music would sound like if she grew up in "The Bluff," boasting dark pop 80's pop with frantic hi-hats and 808 kicks.

Our obsession with the machine lies at the heart of all electronic music. But what sets the best electronic producers apart is their ability to harness technology to create sounds that are as emotional as they are innovative – something that shines through Andrew Bayer’s debut LP ‘It’s Artificial’.

Touching on everything from Flying Lotus-esque glitch-hop and leftfield electronica to swirling melodic techno and warped electro, ‘It’s Artificial’ is the sound of a maverick musician using his machines to their fullest.  

Having previously collaborated with BT, Norwegian producer Boom Jinx and Above & Beyond on their second artist album ‘Group Therapy’, Andrew Bayer’s recent solo productions have marked him out as a unique talent on the Anjunabeats label. The diverse sound of his ‘Distractions’ EP hit top spot in the Beatport electronica chart, received high praise from DJ Magazine and gained DJ support from Henry Saiz, Hernan Cattaneo and Dave Seaman.

Classically trained, the US producer first came to the fore as part of transatlantic trance duo Signalrunners – responsible for classic Anjunabeats releases like ‘Aria Epica’ and ‘These Shoulders’.  

Always leaning towards the more experimental areas of sound, his obsession with composition was refracted through a different lens when he studied at the famed Berklee College Of Music. Absorbing a range of avant-garde theory and advanced sound composition techniques, his writing style began to take a new, complex and deeply technical form – without losing sight of his core musical values 

This union of obsessively detailed sound design and classic music composition can be heard across ‘It’s Artificial’s eight tracks. Opening with the glitchy funk of ‘Nexus 6’ and the oddball orchestral ode ‘Dedicated To Boston’s Waste Management System’, it segues into the 4/4 groove with ‘Counting The Points’ – a beautifully schizophrenic epic that sounds like what would happen if Boards Of Canada and Deadmau5 ever collaborated. 

From the epic tech beast of ‘Monolith’ through the bouncy Balearic techno of ’Paper Cranes’ to the heavenly breakbeat of ‘From The Earth’, each subsequent track is as unique as the one before – often morphing from one into the other effortlessly. 

A compelling debut, ‘It’s Artificial’ signals the arrival of one of electronic music’s next great talents.

The latest single to be taken from Andrew Bayer's acclaimed "It's Artificial" album, the hypnotic prog monster "Monolith" is a typically intricate and epic production from the prolific US producer. 

With echoes of the Border Community sound, a haunting piano breakdown and a gargantuan drop, "Monolith" lives up its name in every sense. 

Its slightly more electro-edged sister "Polylith" retains the hypnotic vibe but adds a darker underside and a thumping drop. 

Rounding things off, Israeli innovator Maor Levi transforms "Monolith" into a twisted tech-trance groover with an uplifting breakdown.
