On the 12th of April, 2021, Redolent Music head-honcho and Iberican sound creator, DJ Chus, alongside Dubai-based DJ and Producer, Rosewall and Frankfurt-based vocalist and producer, TOSZ, bring together their immense production prowess in a stunning combination of their unique take on House music with their single, ‘WHO’. This hauntingly beautiful single showcases the depth of creativity and emotion formed when these artists get into the studio together, with soulful vocals, emphatic synth leads and subtle tribal rhythms that permeate throughout the original, bridging the gap between melancholic and a hopeful transcendence towards the future, leaving the audience with a sense of longing for more.

Stepping in to take the original down a darker road, Crosstown Rebels and DFTD artist, Made By Pete, makes his debut on Redolent music with his rendition of the mesmerising original. Ghostly atmospherics, trance inducing synth lines and an anthemic bassline, Made By Pete modulates the original's intention whilst staying true to the Redolent Music sound with a perfection his productions have become acquainted with.

Closing off the EP, DTD co-founder, Haze-M, also steps onto Redolent Music for the first time with his upbeat rendition of DJ Chus, Rosewall and TOSZ’s, ‘WHO’. Scintillating percussive keys, enigmatic arps and a constantly groovy bassline, Haze-M contrasts the single's beauty with a dance-friendly reimagining, displaying his invaluable ear for remixing and a quality that is not often reached.

Canadian electronic duo Sultan + Shepard remix Gabriel & Dresden’s ‘Falling Forward’ (feat. Sub Teal), lifted from G&D’s third studio album ‘Remedy’.

‘Remedy’ was released in January 2020 and was inspired by the comfort humans can find in nature. Accruing over 3.5 million streams to date, the duo was in the midst of a worldwide tour when the pandemic began. Locked at home, Josh and Dave embraced livestreaming immediately. Gabriel & Dresden’s ‘Club Quarantine’ has become a place for their fans to escape and connect on Twitch. The duo stream almost daily. 

Following the release of the ‘Remedy’ (Remixed) album in January - which featured reworks from Genix, Qrion, Nourey, ilan Bluestone & Maor Levi, and more - we return for another chapter in the story, with a new remix from Sultan + Shepard.

Sultan + Shepard formed in Montreal in 2002. Since then, Ossama Al Sarraf and Ned Shepard have worked with some of the biggest artists in the world. They’ve collaborated with Tiësto, David Guetta, Dillon Francis, Junior Sanchez and BT, and have remixed Coldplay, Lady Gaga, Madonna and Bruno Mars. They earned a GRAMMY nomination in 2014 for their take on Mars’ ‘Locked Out Of Heaven’.

Recently, the duo has returned to their deep house and progressive roots, signing with Lane 8’s This Never Happened label. Their latest album ‘Something, Everything’ was released via the imprint on March 12 - it’s well worth a listen.

This quartet of artists have all achieved measurable success in their respective solo careers, with a collective discography highlighted by releases on Beatfreak, Disco Halal, Diynamic, Ellum, Parquet Recordings, Stil Vor Talent and Sudbeat Music. Some producers meet in the DJ booths or dancefloors of seminal club nights, or at the counters of record stores fighting over the last copy of an in demand 12” or are even introduced to each other by other iconic artists - https://soundcloud.com/atella's Magnus and Johannes met during a piggyback race. This unlikely if fortuitous scenario seems to sum up the Norwegian duo and their incredible sense of humour. For their new cut, ‘Closer To Life’, Atella have joined forces with singer Frøder, recently cited by Nylon as one of Norway’s most promising new artists, to deliver a track that can stand proudly amongst the output of fellow Bergen natives Röyksopp or Lindstrøm (whom they have remixed).

Atella explain: “Closer To Life is the result of the good friendship we have with the amazing artist Frøder. The song is an atmospheric reflection of our world’s unstable and chaotic journey through the universe. Close To Life is the sequel (or prequel - who knows?!) to Closer To Life. A targeted journey through time and space, and the search for extraterrestrial and/or intelligent lifeforms - are we getting closer? We can feel it.”  

Atella made their debut on Eskimo with ‘The Monster’ back in 2014, a track that featured in ‘Scream’ (the TV series spin off from the film trilogy) and was heavily supported by scores of DJs including the legendary Busy P. Their previous single ‘Mechanical Sparrow’ featured O. Martin on vocals (the musical ally of Aurora) and they’ve recently worked with or remixed the likes of Ary, Dagny and Bow To Each Other, who won the Norwegian Grammy Award for pop band of the year. Get ready for the Nordic invasion.

Le Youth, aka LA based producer Wes James, unveils his first originals on Anjunabeats with double A-side ‘Gemini / Arizona’.

Le Youth has been a force in dance music since his crossover hits ‘C O O L’ and ‘Dance With Me’ stormed the UK charts in 2013. Heavily inspired by the European progressive sound pioneered by Sasha, John Digweed and Eric Prydz, Wes recently remixed 3LAU’s ‘Tokyo’ (feat. XIRA) and released an EP on Lane 8’s This Never Happened imprint, all while running his own label and event brand, PRGRSSN.  

Getting a big nod of approval from Jono, Tony and Paavo, ‘Arizona’ was featured on Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats Volume 15 compilation.
