Ferry Tayle & Static Blue had quite a 2009 with their huge L'Acrobat release doing the business across the summer months. With a bulging gig diary including Trance Energy, Ferry now looks certain to be one of the big stories of 2010. Kicking of 2010 in quite emphatic style, the duo land with the long awaited follow up, Trapeze. Having seen heavy support to all the mixes on Armin's ASOT (Tune of the Week) and Above & Beyond's TATW, the hype is a boiling point already for this superb release. The original has everything you want in an uplifting trance track; drive, power, lush melodies and heavenly vocals. Remix duties fall to Daniel Kandi, who's mix has already been made Tune of the Week by World No. 1 Armin van Buuren, and Arty, whose Digitally Enhanced Intro Mix has been used by Above & Beyond to open all their recent shows, and by Will Holland on his Digitally Enhanced Vol Three compilation, which is coming this March. Northern Irish producer GVN releases ‘So In Love’.

In 2021 GVN, aka Gavin Brown, dropped his Anjunabeats debut ‘I Don’t’ as a serious statement of intent. First introduced to the label by anamē’s Marcus Schössow, the two would go on to collaborate on the 700th Anjunabeats release, ‘Take Me There’, which earned spins from Lane 8, Kryder, Anja Schneider, Armin van Buuren, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Tibasko and many more.

The Derry-native showed no signs of slowing down in the years that followed, serving up remixes for the likes of Lange and Chakra and attracting support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong and Danny Howard. 

GVN kicked off this year with his dynamic double-header ‘Thinking About You / Believer’, which earned early support from BBC Radio 1’s Jaguar and on BBC Music Introducing in Sussex & Surrey.

Expect more new music from GVN in the coming months. ‘So In Love’ is out now on Anjunabeats.

First heard at Above & Beyond’s annual Miami Music Week party at the Old RC Cola Plant way back in 2017, ‘Hideaway’ emerges from the shadows, a fitting title for an elusive set opener from the globetrotting trio of Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki.

Teasing the masses once more, Above & Beyond opened their storied Group Therapy 250 set at The Gorge with ‘Hideaway’. The track subsequently became a regular feature at arena shows across the UK and US during the band’s record breaking ‘Common Ground’ tour. An assertive, cavernous, melodic burner that perfectly set the tone for a very big night of dancing in a very big room.

2018 came and went, still no release! The keyboard detectives on the band’s official Reddit theorised and extrapolated potential reasons. Then comes Anjunabeats Volume 14, the band’s popular two-disc compilation series. There’s ‘Hideaway’, sitting alongside another brand new A&B original, ‘Anjunafamily’.
