A highlight from the iTunes #1 compilation ‘Anjunadeep 07’, Ryan Davis’ melancholic beauty ‘Brun’ gets reworked by two leading lights of the European underground, Luca Bacchetti and Matthias Meyer. Over the past decade Ryan Davis has carved out his own niche, with a unique brand of melodic techno, attracting wide-spread support from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Jonas Rathsman, Stephan Bodzin and Max Cooper. 

Following releases on Crosstown Rebels, Saved and Ovum over the past few years, along with a string of stand-out remixes, Italian producer Luca Bacchetti offers up a signature rework, intertwining an subtle groove with delicate cinematic chords that compliment the spacey sentiments of the original.

Hamburg influencer and Watergate resident Matthias Meyer takes the stage for the second remix, debuted in James Grant’s recent Deep House Amsterdam mix. Meyer offers a textured roller, infusing classic house elements that resonate beautifully alongside the original’s cosmic soundscapes; an uplifting and emotive dancefloor moment.

For the sophomore installment of our various artists series ‘Watergate Affairs’, we bring you four searing cuts of dance floor mania from Ruede Hagelstein, Adana Twins, Marco Resmann and Tiefschwarz.

Kicking it off is Ruede’s timeless, future classic; ‘Flash Balls’. At nearly eleven minutes, it’s a masterfully crafted tune reminiscent of classic Carl Craig and the best things that happen when Berlin meets Detroit. Adana Twins ‘Etah’ follows with a lush palette of sonics dispersed over an incredibly infectious groove emanating in a gorgeous ballad that will surely induce those magic moments. Next up is Resmann’s ‘Mobius’, a contagious groover that delicately balances the ability to fit any time or setting, day or night from open airs to club lights. Completing the compilation is Tiefschwarz with their enchanting symphony; ‘Backyard’ whose opulent shimmers and warm low end administer a superb trip into the ethereal. We hope you enjoy!

Adana Twins - Etah (Original Mix)

The Brazilian in-demand producer Victor Ruiz, teams up with the ever popular German D-Nox, for a multi-continemtal musical treat and an excellent follow up of their immense ‘Arise’. 

Lets great straight to the music without further adieu. 'The title track 'Pure' is a melodic and hypnotic masterpiece, with its subtleties creating a sophisticated warm workout to slay a dance floor. The infectious arpeggiator is the main stay here, underpinning the track, before a beautiful top line adds warmth and a beautiful sunshine feeling. The breakdown lulls you into thinking that this is a restrained affair, before we kick back in to action with a gnarly bass line that will send the crowd wild. A track that smells of a hit!

Picking up the pace here, the energetic 'Infinite' is a wondrous peak time slammer, shrouded in depth, yet with plenty of  brightness, as the warm pads glisten through, like rays of light shining through a gap in the curtains, warming the soundscape. Big bass again provides the punch, while melodies send you dreaming off away, with a hazy glow. Big and bold, and thats why we love it.

Since launching in early 2016, the Explorations series returns for its fourth outing. Having previously welcomed artists such as Theo Kottis, Tontario, Modd and Luttrell to the label, ‘Anjunadeep Explorations 04’ introduces more new faces to the family.

Previously one-half of production duo Journeyman, Dom Furlonge makes his debut outing under his new Antic alias with EP opener ‘And I Pray’. Dom showcases his own vocals and distinctive production flair on this quirky club cut.

Our second track brings together the Bath-based duo Kotu and Munich’s Sam Goku on ‘Ascension’, blending a subtle rolling bassline with soaring strings and sparse piano to wonderful effect. A much sought after ID from recent Anjunadeep Editions from James Grant and Dom Donnelly.

Next up is emerging German talent Ben Böhmer with ‘Flug & Fall’. Ben fuses organic elements, vocal chanting and warm melodic grooves in this uplifting number.

Closing the EP, Melbourne’s GMJ and Matter debut with throwback progressive gem ‘Earthless’.

microCastle begins the summer season by welcoming Ivory to the label for his debut EP. Based in Milan, Daniel Tagliaferri aka Ivory is an Italian producer, DJ and guitarist who has enjoyed a rapid ascent through the electronic underground. Long a favourite of Ame, Dixon, John Digweed, Lehar, Nick Warren, Tale Of Us and Trikk, Daniel’s music has found a home on some of the world’s trendiest record labels, most notably Atlant Recordings, Azzur, Bedrock, Chapter 24, Isolate, MoBlack and Kompakt. Now following his critically acclaimed ‘Hyper’ EP, Ivory presents his microCastle debut ‘No Scale Can Resize You’.

Spread across five tracks, the 'No Scale Can Resize You’ collection is a blend of dance floor inspired storyboards and contemporary electronica. Beginning with the pulsating energy and buzzing design of the Tale Of Us championed title selection, to the quirky musicality and cosmic funk of ‘Biscuit’, it's Daniel’s' borderless scope and creative vision which resonates on a high frequency here.

Anchoring the EP’s midway point is the much anticipated ‘Pfauneinsel’. Already a favourite of Lehar, it’s a tough yet hypnotic piece driven by unique rhythmic concepts and a flair for the dramatic. Most solemn perhaps is ‘Romantic Circuits’, whose astral arps and robotic vocals fuel this indie-tech gem, before perfectly segueing into the journey’s closer ‘Biggest Eyes On Earth’. Once again played by Tale Of Us and surrounded by much hype, it’s reflective qualities are both emotive and timeless, rounding out a collection of music which has already made its mark on the world’s most rebellious dance floors. For Daniel it's a unique anthology, one of boundless inspiration and endless possibilities, as he describes.

"Music is always about storytelling, 'No Scale Resize You' is a collection of short stories where there's not words, they give way to melodies, sounds and percussive elements to sing a song full of grace, delicate groove hypnosis and evocative soundscapes. Every sound has been modeled to create a parallel universe, with magical creatures that speak to us through synths and sound design. Drawing this EP was like a flow of consciousness, many different musical influences converged like rivers to create a unique body of water, one that reflects the soul of these musical tales, dark atmospheres, middle-eastern melodies, robotic beats, dreamy pads, wistful strings and analogic arps; where every part is an element of the same wild land discovered during the listening. An epical journey about strength, bravery, magic, mysticism and love. An island made by incantations and charming, fantastic animals, where you can be a dwarf or a titan, it doesn't matter, every hero has his greatness in the constant search to reach his dreams."

After dazzling Exploited with his debut release ‘Adieu X’ a few months back, Dutch wunderkind, Budakid, returns to the imprint with a blazing two-tracker titled 'No Strings Attached'.

Ahead of its release on July 8, Budakid has handed over Tensnake's funk-laden and moody remix of the forthcoming EP's title track. With its skipping ‘90s house vibe, the tune builds towards big and contemplative breaks that bring a starry-eyed melancholy to dancefloor.

Anjunadeep warmly welcomes renowned Spanish producer and label owner Edu Imbernon for his debut Anjunadeep release ‘S.Y.L.’.

An influential figure in the European house and techno scene over the past decade, Edu has topped the Beatport charts and won consistent support from the likes of Pete Tong, Maceo Plex, Sasha and Seth Troxler. In addition to heading up his own label Fayer, Edu has held down numerous residencies around the world, including Space Ibiza and Watergate Berlin.

‘S.Y.L.’ features an infectious synth riff and surging drums split by a beautifully calm breakdown. A sure-fire moment in any set, Imbernon’s latest demonstrates the Valencian producer’s intricate style.
