You know Dirtybird for dropping basslines and creating smiles on the dance floor since January 2005.

The fun family vibe of the Dirtybird label can be traced back to a free event started in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. This new kind of house music went against the smooth vocal house that was popular at the time and derived its influences mostly from hip-hop, drum n bass, and American funk. The free outdoor BBQ party was very rough around the edges but eventually became legendary amongst the people of San Francisco. This event was also a very influential factor in the decision by Claude VonStroke to start the record label in 2005.

Today, Dirtybird has offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and has expanded into events and tour production. As it grows, the brand continues to expand beyond music into merchandise, licensing and artist management. In 2015, Dirtybird launched the inaugural Dirtybird Campout festival, which has been dubbed “Summer Camp For Adults”, and Dirtybird has been recognized from their achievements by being awarded "Underground Label of the Year" at the International Dance Music Awards, “Label of the Decade” by Mixmag, “Best North American Label” by DJ Mag, and Billboard’s "Top 5 Independent Dance Labels".

From a young age Freebound has always been fascinated with all types of music. Growing up across the water from Detroit, the sounds of Mo Town were the first strong influences of his musical journey. You would find everything from hip hop, soul, funk, alternative rock, blues, classical music, celtic, folk, or bluegrass in his tape player. His deep and unbiased love for music followed him to the West Coast where he fell in love with electronic music and festival culture at Shambhala Music Festival. 

Benny has been staying busy the last few years playing 4 years at Shambhala, 3 years at Envision, Bamboo Bass Festival, Bushwacked, The Tree Planters Ball, Rock the Block in Cumberland, and numerous other clubs and festivals along the West Coast from Canada to Los Angeles.  

He's been managing The Radio Stage at Bass Coast, The Pagoda at Shambhala, The Boog at Boogaloo, La Brisa at Bamboo, The Lapa stage at Envision, and The Grand ARtique at Lightning in a Bottle. 

Benny is also the Co-Founder of Lickity Split - a Burning Man art car that hosts a wide array of international dj's and hands out thousands of ice cream cones and freezies on the playa, 

He has recently entered into a collaboration with Shinji called Dr. Suits, make sure to keep an eye on this project. 

Being constantly surrounded by such a wide variety of the freshest music around has kept him constantly changing, evolving, and fine tuning the music he is passionate about and the sound he strives to deliver. He also loves you and hates writing in the third person

Madame Electrifie has amassed some 20 years on the decks, playing some of the UK’s leading venues and parties. She has supported some of the biggest names in electronic music over the years across all spectrums of the music world including The Stanton Warriors, Jon Carter, Elite Force, A Skillz, Annie Nightingale, Rob Da Bank, Krafty Kuts, the Freestylers and a whole host of bands. A festival favourite thanks to her eclectic taste; summer sees her play sets across all kinds of festival stages at Glastonbury, Bestival, Truefest, Shindig, IOW, Nozstock & Shambala, alongside presenting her own stages at Boomtown and Beatherder as an extension to her long-standing club promotion Madame Electrifie’s Discotech. 

2023 has been a mammoth year for Madame Electife, with a 14 date festival tour including playing major stages at Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Wilderness and more. Her remix for Sam Redmore’s ‘Music is’ was championed by BBC 6 music’s Jam Supernova, and her remix for Bazza Ranks released on Bombstrikes went straight to number 1 in the Juno Disco chart. She was also signed to the iconic Finger Lickin Management.

Fusing the best vintage beats with the best of the modern age; Madame Electrifie’s eclectic sound means she can turn herself to a daytime disco or a late night bassy rave with ease. With funk and breaks at its core, she draws on global sounds to create a unique blend squarely aimed at the dancefloor. 

If that wasn’t enough to keep her busy, Madame Electrifie is also one half of Evil Twin with Mini Da Minx, and producer in electronica/trip hop trio Cassini Circles.
