The Mañana People's music isn't the easiest thing in the world to explain, so bear with us for a moment. It is the product of the minds of Tim Weissinger and Alvaro Arango, which are even more difficult to explain. Tim claims to be German, but he says "Adios!" a lot, writes poems, chews tobacco, and looks astonishingly sexy in Lederhosen. Alvaro is a Colombian refugee, accused by his folks of being a vampyre. Sometimes people see him standing on his roof, signaling with a flashlight. Their hobbies are oranges and taxidermy. They like pretending they are hobos, or world-weary cowboys, or a virus from outer space. Especially when writing songs. So how does the music sound like? Do you hear lonesome guitars twanging into your right ear? That was them. Do you get a laughing banjo crawling into your left one? That was them too. Do you hear that theremin flashing through your other ear right into your brain? You three-eared freak! You're welcome, anyway. Do you hear it all? You're one of them now. You are a Mañana Person too.

Dem Pangea Kollektiv geht es in erster Linie darum, Feierkultur mit utopischem Inhalten und kritischem Bewusstsein zu verknüpfen. Diese Verbindung aus Politik und Hedonismus spiegelt sich im eklektischen und sich stets weiterentwickelnden Soundbild der zwei Mädels & drei Jungs wider, welches am besten als Kaleidoskop verschiedenster Kulturen, Rhythmen und Perspektiven zu begreifen ist. Die sich immer wieder wandelnden Muster bestehen aus einem Zusammenspiel von Tradition&Elektronik, Analogie&Moderne, Roots&Future. Erlaubt ist bei Pangea prinzipiell erstmal alles, was nicht ausgrenzend und scheiße ist - von traditionellen globalen Sounds und verschrobenen Beatschleifen, über wild scheppernde, ungerade Basslines bis hin zu atmosphärisch-dichten 4/4-Ethno-Soundscapes und sogar housigem Disco Globale ist gut und gerne alles dabei, was das Feierherz höherschlagen lässt.

Die Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung ist eine Agentur für grüne Ideen und Projekte, reformpolitische Zukunftswerkstatt und internationales Netzwerk mit weit über hundert Partnerprojekten in rund sechzig Ländern.

Demokratie und Menschenrechte durchsetzen, gegen die Zerstörung
unseres globalen Ökosystems angehen, patriarchale Herrschaftsstrukturen überwinden, in Krisenzonen präventiv den Frieden sichern, die Freiheit
des Individuums gegen staatliche und wirtschaftliche Übermacht verteidigen – das sind die Ziele, die unser Denken und Handeln bestimmen.

Die Stiftung ist damit Teil der "grünen" politischen Grundströmung, die sich weit über die Bundesrepublik hinaus in Auseinandersetzung mit den traditionellen
politischen Richtungen des Sozialismus, des Liberalismus und des Konservatismus herausgebildet hat.

Organisatorisch ist die Heinrich- Böll-Stiftung unabhängig und steht für geistige Offenheit. Mit derzeit 29 Auslandsbüros verfügt sie über eine weltweit vernetzte Struktur. Sie kooperiert mit 16 Landesstiftungen in allen Bundesländern
und fördert begabte, gesellschaftspolitisch engagierte Studierende und Graduierte im In- und Ausland.

Heinrich Bölls Ermunterung zur zivilgesellschaftlichen Einmischung in die Politik folgt sie gern und möchte andere anstiften mitzutun.

Tash Sultana is a young, dynamic Melbourne artist. At just twenty-one years of age, Tash is creating waves and generating massive street buzz by playing sold out shows all over the World.
