Crepuscular dark of the Land of the Fae,
Deep Saturnine pitch. Not such gaudy Day,
So brassily attired; it’s carbon klieg light 
An insult and blasphemy to my sight...

It is Dreamtime to the aborigines,
A night black land of fertile potential,
Where star seeds of new possibilities
Sprout in the dark from the quintessential
Before birthing into form. 
It’s where Coleridge found Kubla Khan’s 
Stately pleasure dome was decreed. 
And where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Straight down to a sunless sea,
Through caverns measureless to man...

In this dimension of the Multiverse
This Underworld

It is here that the enlightened artist goes
To these dark, echoing caverns,
To mine, like the dwarves of Erebor,
Boons already dreamt into being,
Buried in a golden seam of ore. 
They ferry their treasures along the Alph, 
And then finally out into this bright world of day,
Their cargo unloads itself by crystal telegraph
If they’ve been careful not to spill a single
Drop along the way...

From this dimension of the Multiverse
This Underworld

They smelt the ore with the heat of their passion 
Into masterpieces of paintings, poetry and song,
They are humbled with gratitude as they fashion
These healing gifts from another realm,
A place that can cause no wrong. 

So this is the real Underworld, I hope you can see 
The source of all great art born from natural alchemy.

Yet another version of this little Rock and Roll number, this time dropping back to the 1950's again and how it might have been influenced by the American R&R movement.

Let’s not mince words here. Trump is the embodiment of corruption, greed, and incompetence. He’s a man who has spent his entire life looking out for himself, exploiting others, and leaving chaos in his wake. As De Niro so eloquently put it: *“He’s a dog. He’s a pig. He’s a con. He’s a bullsh*t artist. He’s a mutt who doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”* This isn’t just about politics—it’s about morality. It’s about standing up to a man who has no respect for the rule of law, no respect for the truth, and no respect for the American people.  

Trump’s presidency was a disaster. He divided the country, emboldened hate, and failed to deliver on his promises. He’s a man who thrives on chaos, who lies with every breath, and who cares only about his own ego. As De Niro said: *“He’s a punk, he’s a dog, he’s a mutt. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. He’s an idiot. He’s a fool.”* And yet, here we are, facing the possibility of him returning to power. We cannot let that happen. We cannot allow this man to continue to poison our democracy.  

This is not just about Trump—it’s about the people who enable him. The sycophants, the cowards, and the opportunists who stand by his side and allow his corruption to flourish. They are just as guilty as he is. As De Niro said: *“They’re all scum. They’re all mutts. They don’t know what they’re talking about.”* We need to hold them accountable. We need to stand up and fight back.  

The stakes are too high to sit on the sidelines. This is about the soul of our nation. It’s about protecting our democracy, our values, and our future. We cannot afford to let Trump and his enablers win. We must vote, we must organize, and we must make our voices heard. As De Niro said: *“We’re gonna fight back. We’re gonna fight back with everything we’ve got.”*  

So let’s do this. Let’s come together and defeat Trump once and for all. Let’s show the world that we are better than this. That we will not tolerate corruption, lies, and hate. That we will stand up for what’s right. As De Niro said: *“We’re gonna win. We’re gonna win because we have to.”*  

This is our moment. This is our fight. Let’s get to work.

Vultures (greed greed greed)

"I am trapped.

Around me I hear whispers of invisible Evil while radios and television sets deliver daily reports of despondency in clipped but sonorous soundbites. Some cower, some see no Evil and have no fear of it, but all are under the oppressive weight of Its presence, panicked by the pressure of the imposition of 'protection' . The world stands still and holds her breath.

I do not fear this Evil. A greater gluttony of misery is gained from my continued existence and so It has no taste for me. 

I fear the people It oppresses.... I am not one of them, though I once tried my hardest to conform and comply with their crippling, ever-shifting expectations and demands. I learned to fear them before the Evil came.... in Its presence they have become base and selfish and self-serving, some left without a shred of decency or compassion in their gleeful terror.

The walls are closing in on me, reflecting the glare and gleam of claustrophobic heat and crushing defeat. Outside I hear the clamour of chaos, the clash and cacophony of my hell and its inhabitants. 

I leave, risk braving open space... vultures circle around me, glaring and scornful, harrying and eager to devour. I cannot avoid them. I try to plead but am ignored. Frantic and fighting to contain my own terror and rage, I chase them away with snarls but this only feeds their malice. They caw and jeer at me with deafening ignorance and indignation.

I scuttle to sanctuary, desperate for respite... only to be chased away by rabid wolves, foaming with fury, muzzles dripping vitriol and hate, emboldened and secure with the sanctimonious sophistry of suspicion and social media.

I flee home and brace myself to bear the dense burden of deepening darkness and despair but the delirious jabbering of debauched devils, leering and cheering and jeering as I fall.... it is more than I can bear.

Release is denied. I am forbidden.

I am trapped."
