PROGRAM NOTES
The word ‘pyro' has a few different meanings. It can denote fire, heat, or temperature, but the meaning that most inspired this piece comes from the word 'pyromaniac', which is used to describe someone who has a compulsion to set things on fire. In particular, I was most influenced by a by a surreal, somewhat grotesque artwork by David Lynch called Boy Lights Fire (2010), in which a boy holds a book of matches in his left hand and a lit match in his right hand, while someone (perhaps his mother) appears in the distance, arms stretched out, seemingly in shock. I imagined the boy lighting their house on fire, and the house gradually burning to the ground. Pyro was commissioned by Michael Barnes.

My world is a song that talks about life and how we must overcome difficulties. It has unexpected moments that can take the listener by surprise, but the main thing about this song is the love with which it was created. I hope you like it because I gave myself with my soul.

I was messing around, like the non-musician I am, with Udio, and this tune popped out. I realised it would work for a poem I'd had in mind for a while, inspired by the old folk tale by Hans Christian Andersen, The Red Shoes. It still needed some help though from an actual musician. So here it is ... with an excellent arrangement and gorgeous cover art by @APi_ZZ.

A machine (no, not mashine ...) assisted symph prog track woven into an interplay with 'handcrafted' sound carpets.

Cosmic Mashup

In the last weeks DMs swept in from assumed new fans, praising one's musical talent in glowing words and phrases. A few "innocent" Thank-yous later their promo sales machines got fired. I admit: I had some fun in detecting their innocence in marketing and expose their poor strategies (often seemingly right out of some obscure how-to "handbook"). All gave up after a while, some disappointed or disillusioned, some just irritated and deprived of valid arguments. Poor souls sometimes ... 
Anyway, I took some ot the opening sentences from those advancements and a few claims et voilá: lyrics were written. SUNO took care of the musical presentation, which I polished a bit more with adding drums, organ and mixing.

Being musician and artist "since ages", the last two decades and all the developments in digital music broadened my interests and activities in doing music actively and passively. Not being shy of any genre (OK, leave off some Punk and Extreme Metal derivates) I engage in composing, arranging, mixing and collaborating. 

Oh, and I do all my artwork and designs as well. And as you may notice I regard AI as a friendly helper.
