Got a new toy, had to play with it,
but also wanted to build something of a song, because repertoire;
and I was inspired by many things I have listened to over the past weeks.

I have to come to the point of happy uplifting music yet, so you will have to do with this:


It's a song about some dark places a mind can be in... The protagonist may not be of this world, in fact. Or he never fit in...

The opening section of “Tome of Stars”, titled “Item 1: Anthesis”, comprises 21 poems that chronicle the emergence and flowering of a romantic relationship, structured around the botanical metaphor of anthesis, the period during which a flower blooms. 

“Refraction” narrates a charged and intimate encounter that unfolded within the sterile, cerebral environment of a laboratory. The sonnet captures a moment when performative distancing to maintain a professional facade gives way to physical and emotional surrender. Set against the backdrop of a scientific experiment, the poem juxtaposes the cold apparatus of inquiry with the latent warmth and magnetism of two bodies and minds drawn together. Themes of restraint, transformation, and revelation emerge, as internal heat breaches outward calm, culminating in an impulsive gesture of desire and the mutual acknowledgment of a deeper, unspoken bond.
