Our next artist is an amazing artist from south of France, Like the Inuit people, he composes music to tell his environment, from his perspective: a landscape, a wind, an animal. he gradually shapes a personal style, mixing organic rhythms and atmospheric textures, between poetry and intensity. His work has been featured on hadal-resonance, @oslated and is the co-founder of @melifera_records. His most recent EP on his label included fantastic remixes by @eyvind-blix and @forestonstasys. For this mix he curates a skillfully blended array of deep techno, eclectic downtempo and blissful electronica. Our next artist we are honored to host is a immense talent based in Denver, CO. Influenced by the deeper sounds of techno, atmospheric, and most things unconventional, she views the art of mixing as a spiritual practice that seeks to "balance relationship to mind and body. Her sets lean in the direction of storytelling, turning the moment's vibe into sonic passages, usually with a dark and moody undertone that reveal splashes of light and space to feel. Monochrome presents, Automne II : Amadeus(Dj Set), Exocet.

This autumn, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on Ambient, IDM and Dub-Techno.

Artist biography :

Amadeus is a French electronic music lover based in Paris, and resident Dj of Collectif Exocet 
With a deep taste for hypnotism and storytelling, he weaves his universe between ambient, downtempo, and more tribal-oriented sounds. He has featured on some podcast channels such as Anodynic Frequencies and Collectif Exocet. 
For him, electronic music is both a refuge for introspection and a way to communicate emotions, with a strong attachment to nature and elements. 
For this episode, he took inspiration from Norwegian mountains, and more especially the Gudvangen fjords, where he travelled last summer. Through a combination of dark, mystic textures and drums, he invites us to immerse in the deep, cold and mysterious universe of the Nordic valleys.

Glasgow based Fernie has been immersing himself in the local scene since 2002 taking influences from the city's many techno stalwarts holding residences at a number of the areas key venues allowing him to hone his style over the years.

He provides both deep and driving hypnotic sets full of energy and soaring pads. This same ethos is relayed through his own productions which have seen release across a wide selection of respected labels.

Most recently he continues to develop his own Space Textures imprint facilitating the release of some of the finest atmospheric techno on offer. He also works with the influential Norway based Monument group to deliver podcasts and streams from artists around the globe.

In this session for Temple.Prayer, Fernie delivers a near 2 hour mix of both vinyl and digital selections with a number of unreleased productions and picks from the vaults providing a meandering journey into his mind.

His background and taste is always gravitated towards underground & psychedelic music, but over past few years he understood the wider range of sounds that techno can express. Pursuing this new found love and appreciation his most recent sessions have cultivated a mixture of deeper blends of hypnotic and mental explorations of sound. He most recently released a podcast called Altrove. As for this journey he sets the mood with elongated transitions and subtle builds of pulsating rhythms an heady ambience. The next chapter in my podcast series comes from the Italian DJ, producer and label owner Andrea Deplano, also known as @ness. 

Coming from Sardinia, Italy, Ness has become a respected figure in the electronic music scene, especially when talking about hypnotic techno. With a background in sound engineering, research, fine-tuning and over a decade of experience as a producer and DJ, Andrea has crafted a signature sound that influenced an entire generation in music. 

His productions and sets are typically defined as a wide range of exploration between hypnotic techno and ambient soundscapes. As of recently, the Italian producer decided to expand that scope even more, by creating the trance-influenced alias L-3P, under which he will be releasing music with a higher bpm, which only shows that he is constantly evolving and challenging his presence in music.

Next to playing around the globe, Ness has been running successfully his label The Gods Planet, which is a home to many established talents as well as newcomers with fresh ideas. The constantly evolving concept of the label unfolds fully in an in-depth article on the blog.

Eric @Cloutier on the inspiration for this mix: "It's impossible to fully describe the importance of Theorem (@theorem-thx) in my life. Upon first hearing the “Nano” album I was immediately sold on his sound. Moving artfully between psychedelic, dub and chill varietals of techno, the picture he painted on this full length on Plus8 blew my mind…and honestly still does. Fast forward to the “Mantra One” EP, and I knew this wasn’t a fluke but a revolution of a genre. Almost like clockwork, singles on a sub label of M_nus started dropping; I was indoctrinated in to Theorem's sound 100% at this point. Beautiful, patient, delicate, unique, and timeless - Theorem’s records, both solo and with a handful of equally amazing friends, such as Stewart Walker, Sutekh, and Swayzak, are at once undefinable and unquestionably from one defining point in electronic music history. I’ve been fortunate enough to stay friends with Theorem for well over a decade, and he’s blessed me with a trove of unreleased transmissions I’ve never felt comfortable putting to a recording until now. Without this music  I honestly don’t know where my techno life would have taken me, but I am forever indebted to Theorem for what he unintentionally did to a random connoisseur back home in Detroit.
