This artist focuses on merging the sound of hypnotic techno with organic grooves from house and dub. It's all about rich and complex patterns, ridiculous sound design, and never-ending textural madness. He explores the vast realm of deep hypnotic grooves and experimental soundscapes.

On Board is proud to present its newest project, ’The Meaning of Time’ - a 23-track compilation exploring the rift and alteration in time perception global health crisis that’s crippled all sides of our societies has engaged amongst artists and creators. The dedicated goal of this charity V/A is both to document this very special time in our lives and serve as a means of solidarity when most of us out there are struggling to make a living. Content wise, and true to the essence of our vision as a label, the music mainly spans the techno and ambient spectrums, with original content. 50% of the benefits from the sales will go to the involved artists, whilst the remaining 50% will be donated to Sea-Watch - a German NGO that rescues migrants in the Mediterranean, notably by commissioning rescue ships.

Our next artist hails from Tel Aviv, he has been a fan of electronic music since a young age. Originally from Istanbul but living in Tel Aviv he has been doing weekly parties with his collective friends from OBSCURE for almost about 2 years. In May 2020, they launched a podcast series called the @parallel-perceptionseries and they are looking to inspire the people of Tel Aviv. A new project with a clear vision to showcase journeys of the hypnotic, atmospheric, and deep techno sound. Please welcome @yoelsimoni

Based in Brussel, the producer/sound engineer/Dj has been an active member of the Belgian nightlife, joining the 'Initiate project'* in 2015 as one of Program's heads* (after having started 1st as member of the FTRSND collective). Through his residency @initiate_concept he had the opportunity to play alongside various local talents as well as more known profiles (Dasha Rush, Polar Inertia, Dino Sabatini, Claudio PRC, amongst others). 

Hawkan is quietly carving his own signature by exploring deep, dark electronic and natural elements: the mix offers both a sense of lightness and melodic tones, twisted w. a touch of vulnerability. Wish you all a nice listening, Thank you Hawkan for this lovely contribution! <3

Our featured international artist this month is @yoelsimoni [@Parallel-perceptionseries / OBSCURE] Tel Aviv, Israel

Originally from Istanbul and now living in Tel Aviv, Yoel has been involved in making a huge impact by creating online platforms and running a crew pushing boundaries in not just local but international Techno stage. OBSCURE is a collective that Yoel and friends and initiated 2 years ago and since have been running very successfully out of Tel Aviv hosting weekly events. Early this year, the collective went on to create Parallel Perception, a platform that has been showcasing some of the greatest international acts.

Yoel’s style has been greatly influenced by his exposure to electronic music from a very young age. This has helped him carve his unique identity in creating engrossing shamanic sets that clearly shows his mastery on the genre. This mix he did for us is an absolute wonder that starts with melancholic ambient sounds and slowly builds up to what could be his best work yet!
