Founded in 2020 Future Avenue is an electronic music imprint which operates under the Sound Avenue umbrella. Sitting alongside fellow subdivisions 3rd Avenue and Crossfade Sounds, Future Avenue looks to provide a home for new and rising talent. With an ethos centred around progressive music and its surrounding derivatives, the label is a platform which gives up and coming artists a chance to showcase their music alongside established veterans as they carve out their own musical identity.

Erik Lydecker, 37 years old. Husband and a father of four angels. Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. With an academic background in the natural sciences, philosophy and religion I found myself having all the answers but still deep down I knew that I had no answer at all. At first this troubled me but with the help of mother nature I finally realized that the highest truth lies in the paradox. I vividly came to see how the servant was God and how God was the servant. I am not a musician nor an artist, but I found my self in a reality where reality itself never could be described with words. So I turned to the production music, not for the sake of music, but for trying to transfer the beauty of the paradox to others. As scientist I know that sound has no limits. So what better tool than sound to use when you want to explain the eternal.

Our next artist hails from Tel Aviv, he has been a fan of electronic music since a young age. Originally from Istanbul but living in Tel Aviv he has been doing weekly parties with his collective friends from OBSCURE for almost about 2 years. In May 2020, they launched a podcast series called the @parallel-perceptionseries and they are looking to inspire the people of Tel Aviv. A new project with a clear vision to showcase journeys of the hypnotic, atmospheric, and deep techno sound. Please welcome @yoelsimoni

Our featured international artist this month is @yoelsimoni [@Parallel-perceptionseries / OBSCURE] Tel Aviv, Israel

Originally from Istanbul and now living in Tel Aviv, Yoel has been involved in making a huge impact by creating online platforms and running a crew pushing boundaries in not just local but international Techno stage. OBSCURE is a collective that Yoel and friends and initiated 2 years ago and since have been running very successfully out of Tel Aviv hosting weekly events. Early this year, the collective went on to create Parallel Perception, a platform that has been showcasing some of the greatest international acts.

Yoel’s style has been greatly influenced by his exposure to electronic music from a very young age. This has helped him carve his unique identity in creating engrossing shamanic sets that clearly shows his mastery on the genre. This mix he did for us is an absolute wonder that starts with melancholic ambient sounds and slowly builds up to what could be his best work yet!
