Anomali has been a part of the Gothenburg underground scene for nearly 20 years. He has been throwing parties, DJing and producing in many different contexts and styles. Finding his home with deep and hypnotic techno has lead to a focus on bringing his vision to the dancefloor and beyond.

Our fragment series continues. This month's story is told by Paragon.

Originally from Istanbul, Yoel has been a fan of electronic music since a young age. With mixes on renowned podcasts such as Spazio Magnetico, Fur:ther Sessions, and many more, he is always open to exploring different sounds. 

In 2020, he launched with his collective a podcast series called Parallel Perception. A new project guided by the stories of some unique yet really talented artists. The platform explores the thin line between hypnotic, atmospheric, and deep techno. 

‘’ During the lockdown times of pandemic, I was going through some dark times like everyone else. Where I wasn’t sure where to find inspiration from so I recorded this mix one day when I was feeling super deep and experimenting for a set. So the outcome of this set is a showcase of what I’ve been through lockdown, it helped me shape up the sound design that I aim for the selections I use nowadays on clubs as well. ‘’

After nearly one year has passed since the launch of our very own podcast-series “Circulating Waves” it is time for the 13th episode. A year full of great music and profound mind wandering together is behind us! Thank you for that, we are looking for everything lying ahead.

After many years of being musically influenced by the Berlin club scene, Reign. started finally producing electronic music himself. Initially as part of the duo disørda, he started to release music under his second pseudonym in 2019. He soon was able to place his creations on important labels like Emphatic, Concrete Records and Aarden. His musical identity has ever been evolving, from a raw industrial to today's deep and hypnotic sound.

For this anniversary Reign. will take us on a journey into the very depths of the vortex. A wall of sound which you would expect only in the lowest areas of the sea: Driven by broken rhythms, flying drones, quirky noises and backed by dark, floating atmospheres this definitely travels you far distances deep beneath the surface!

However, it was only when she stepped into piano that she became fully immersed in its enticement. This intensity only strengthened over the years – a vigor that can be felt on any dancefloor she operates. With her ultramodern, jet-black techno, you’re taken on a mind-expanding trip beyond what we are accustomed to hearing.
Obscure and unconventional, Theony’s sexy sounds are underground in every sense of the word. Her dynamic, standout style has led her to play some of the country’s most notorious venues, with her packed performance at the Oasis Beach Bar on Rhodes Island, Greece, the legendary Astron bar in Athens, Steam club and the emerging club in the nation’s capital, 01 Athens, being some of the most notable. Having shared the decks with the upper echelon of touring DJs such as Pig&Dan, Marika Rossa, Wehbba, Jay Lumen, HITO and more, she continues to display that you don’t need to play the top 100 to get people dancing.
Entangled in the very DNA of techno, Theony focuses on honing her artistry on drum machines and hardware synths when she isn’t commandeering an audience. But whether it’s through her productions or djing, once you hit “play” you’ll be keeping an eagle eye on her too.

Our next artist started more than a decade ago collecting and mixing music.  His background and taste is always gravitated towards underground & psychedelic music, but over past few years he understood the wider range of sounds that techno can express. Pursuing this new found love and appreciation his most recent sessions have cultivated a mixture of deeper blends of hypnotic and mental explorations of sound. He most recently released a podcast called Altrove. As for this journey he sets the mood with elongated transitions and subtle builds of pulsating rhythms an heady ambience. ARTIST'S BIO:
Raphael aka Taguari, is an Oslo-based DJ with a great passion for hypnotic atmospheric techno, leftfield electronic music and ambient vibes.

His journey as an DJ began in 2006 with a close friend named Dr. Getdown.

"We started collecting vinyl from funk and old school hip hop or rap and played around Munich in bars and outdoor locations".

In the following years as they played their records and moved around various events, Taguari became more involved with drum-n-bass and electronic music, and started slowly to assemble a collection of records. "Funk and rap were still in my heart, but I became more enthusiastic about the hypnotic state that techno brought into my life! The constantly changing varieties of patterns and sequences allowed endless possibilities to be creative. It was a new world for me, full of stories that wanted to be experienced".

Around 2009, started Raphael "Sunrise", a project with different souls of art and music around Munich. The group organized small raves in atypical locations like brown pubs, transforming the venue with large sound systems and art. "Our hearts were craving for creative expression to a local audience, so we used Sunrise as the platform to connect with the street. We called the events "Boazn Rave" ( a Boazn is an Bavarian word for a typical dark&dirty local pub) and for me these events were truly special experiences. A lot of what I was playing during the Sunrise project was influenced by the music, coming from the "Prologue" record label".

The end of Sunrise came in 2012 as the various members took time to explore solo projects and other pathways. Raphael felt he needed a break from the nightlife and made the decision to instead spend his time travelling.

His travel took him to Norway where he now lives and continues his passion as a hypnotic storyteller and DJ, playing at forest parties in his beloved nature or at other locations around Oslo.

"I truly enjoy being out in Nature, it's a peaceful intimate experience. It calms me down and gives me energy for the upcoming projects".
