Another ambient compilation consists of 14 amazingly beautiful tracks, carefully selected and mixed into an hour and a half set.
As you may have guessed, the Nepalese girl on the cover is no accident. The fact is that absolutely all the tracks in this collection have something in common, namely: the music that you will hear has a strong ethnic influence. The sound of modern synthesizers is combined with the sound of ethnic instruments and gentle bells, and the sound of flutes is intertwined with the singing of birds and the murmur of water.

Medha is a Leipzig based Dj and promoter as a member of the PVC collective. Since the end of 2021 she is the co-host of the well-known event series aequalis at Ifz. Her passion for technoid music is shaped by her constant search for inspiration and new tracks, which she brings together in her mixes with a mixture of intuition and thought. Influenced by the Berlin and Leipzig culture and club scene, she has developed her own way of expressing her passion. Her sound is characterised by concise basslines and rougher elements on the one hand, but also by deep and driving rhythms and repetitive sounds. Recently, she has played in clubs such as Tresor Berlin, Ifz Leipzig or Sirococlub Madrid.

This beautiful twelfth episode of our Herbarium series was recorded by the gifted @janloup. We are particularly impressed by this one as it underlines our love for brave sound experiments combined intriguing grooves. This journey goes into so many different directions while it never loses it's thrilling and powerful attitude.
Jan Loup chose the Helichrysum as the topic for this mix. This plant never let's its leaves fall, it keeps them all year. Its name comes from the sun “Helios” ( greek) and “Chrysos”, gold. It likes to install itself in the cracks between rocks, in an environnement close to the sea. It is known to have great power of healing wounds and burns. In Homer's Odyssee myth, Princess Nausicaa rubs the injured body of Ulysse with Helichrysum and saves him from death. The secret of her beauty resided in the daily usage of this plant as a youth elixir.
Despite this story, the plant is called immortal because even when cut, it keeps its shape, blossom and color. All the myths and the recent observation of her incredible properties make the Helichrysum mysterious and powerful. Resistant, resilient, curing.

GUMI Live - Rainbow Serpent Festival 2017 (Chill Out Stage)

This is the ED I played @ Pyramid Yoga in Koh Pangan. It is the latest of a long series of ED I played every week on the Magic Island where, during the whole season, the energy that has gathered around these events has raised beyond everybody's expectations and imaginations!!
Since my very first time playing in Nov 2016 till now the crowd has multiplied exponentially and a lot of other Dance Events of any kind has been created on the island naturally forming an amazing vortex of energy!! 
Most of the time there has been incredibly talented live musicians playing alongside my sets and I feel sorry that their sounds could not be recorded!! I really feel grateful towards all of them for their amazing contribution and energy they added to the sets!!

Hi!
I am an electronic musician. I started out as a DJ in my early teens. After moving out of the city I started being more serious about my own music.
Looking back at it now, it was a disaster. Not only was
my music bad, but the relationships were also a wreck. I should have been more serious. But I managed to establish quite a team now of artists, producers, mixers and musicians.
Looking back again at my relationship it gave me fundamentals on how not to work with the people and what not to say and most importantly what not to promise in order to not make a living hell out of the thing we enjoy doing most - making music.
Very important stepping stone before I started doing soundtracks for media working with very very creative people who already have their work defined and know exactly what they want.
I havent lost my interest in dance music for a bit though. Actually I believe now that this move to try myself in other genres 
was the right move and even my techno and house music got better as a result of it. 
So I suggest to everyone who wants to become better with music making programs, open a blank project and just do some cheesy
EDM with big drops, snarly melodies and absolutely over the top synth stabs. Or invite a friend guitar player who jams at home and try and make a rock song. Its all there in your Ableton/Logic to make it happen.
sure, you will be laughing at the results probably, but it will give you an important experience and it will make you a better musician at the end of the day.

I have just finished a remix for Asphalt Layer (Dusk Dubs, Hello Strange), and it will come out on the new established DUBR - dubby house techno label part of LUVR project. the label is situated in South Africa and is runned by Sheervaan Bergsteedt from the great Just Move Records - check them out.
