The song is about the past present and future. The past of my biological father being absent in the home, my present state as a father trying to figure out how to be a good father despite the dysfunction I grew up with, and what I see for my son’s future. I want to be a father who can teach my son and guide him in the right direction and that’s why this song is a legacy for him to look back upon. The song is a remixed version of Nas’ “The Message” and features a different guitar by 4th Regiment. Recorded and mastered at Eravox Studios.
