After exploring different shades of electronic music, it was Daft Punk’s legendary album Homework that truly captured his imagination with its sampled, retro-tinged house grooves. Inspired by French house, disco house, and synthwave, he began DJing before channeling his passion into his own project.

“Final DJs” was born in 2010. Soon after, remixes for labels such as Kiez Beats, Universal Music, and Pyramid (Kitsuné) followed. In 2013 his single One Day In The Sun (Kiez Beats), featuring house vocalist Stee Downes, gained international attention: it was played in Abercrombie & Fitch stores worldwide and climbed the Beatport Nu-Disco charts with remix support from Teenage Mutants and Vintage Culture.

Subsequent releases blended house and nu-disco, drawing support from tastemakers like Thump.com, Goldroom, Satin Jackets, Earmilk, EDM.com, and trndmusik.de. Alongside his own output, Final DJs delivered official remixes for globally recognized acts including Goldroom, Marcus Layton, Miss Kittin, Elton John, and The Knocks.

His energetic sound has filled clubs across Europe and beyond, from Kiki Ortaköy in Istanbul and MyyyBitch Club in Vienna to Singerhaus in Basel and Wanderlust in Paris. DJ mixes for renowned outlets such as Data Transmission (UK), Deep House Radio Moscow, and Acid Stag (Australia) have reached a global audience of more than 300,000 plays.

A collaboration with Amsterdam’s Soave Records expanded his reach to a younger Spotify audience, where his tracks have already crossed the million-stream mark. His music is colorful, funky, and unmistakably discoid—warm chords, guitar grooves, and 80s-inspired vibes reimagined with a modern touch. Retro energy meets forward-thinking production.

Just before the pandemic, Final DJs launched his own nu-disco/house night in Stuttgart: All U Can Dance at club MOS EISLEY. The monthly event quickly built a loyal following and showcased his vision of music as pure celebration.

Currently, he is working on several new projects with different labels and is eager to revive All U Can Dance—this time with an even bigger impact.

Named a ‘stellar edits provider’ by Mixmag and the ‘nu-disco don’ by Juno, Andy Buchan​ has become one of the most consistent names in the disco and edit scene for the past few years with chart-topping releases on dozens of disco-fried labels including Peppermint Jam, Hot Digits, Midnight Riot, Paper Disco and on his own Hot Gorilla Records imprint.    

Hot Gorilla Records launched with a bang including several Juno Download No.1s, multiple Traxsource Top 10s and four tracks in the Best of 2021 Beatport chart. Plus they’ve had repeat plays from BBC 6 Music and support from Greg Wilson, Horse Meat Disco and Craig Charles. Hot Gorilla Records also supported The Brand New Heavies on their 2021 sell-out tour across the UK. 
Andy’s own music has been picked up for reviews in DJ Mag and Mixmag, plus radio support from 6Music and Rinse FM and club and festival plays from big-name DJs including Bicep, Claptone, Horse Meat Disco, Greg Wilson, Peggy Gou, Justin Robertson, Electric Chair and more. And he was also asked to enter his music collection into the British National Library Sound Archive.     
He’s currently the resident DJ at Flight Club and Chow Down in Leeds and a regular guest DJ at leading Edinburgh venue The Street. Alongside that, Andy has played across the UK in recent years, warming up for Huey 6 Music, Dr Packer, Groove Armada, Psychemagik, Hot Chip and more. 

This is just the latest chapter in Andy’s career. After freelancing for Mixmag and training as a journalist, he moved to Dubai in 2004, working for Time Out Dubai before launching DJ Mag Middle East. He was a regular on the club and festival scene, first with his own long-running, award-winning nights and with long-term residencies at Pacha and Trilogy. He was also booked for Creamfields UAE twice and cemented his open-genre, curveball DJ style by playing alongside a wide variety of DJs including Fatboy Slim, Mark Ronson, Basement Jaxx, Todd Terje, Norman Jay, Liam Gallagher, Feel My Bicep, Graeme Park and more. 

Now back in the UK, he’s become a mainstay of the disco scene while his label Hot Gorilla Records continues to grow into one of the most exciting labels in the scene including 2022 festival slots at Beatherder and Standon Calling.

Katy Light, influenced by the golden era of classic house from the 80s and 90s, brings feel-good vibes to every set. Her sound is a unique blend of Old Skool and Disco with modern funky house energy. Expect big, soulful vocals to keep the dancefloor grooving. 

Though still in her first year behind the decks, Katy has already made a serious impression, playing at some of London’s most iconic venues including Ministry of Sound, 93 Feet East, and XOYO. Her momentum continues to build, with an exciting Ibiza debut lined up at O Beach later this year - marking a major milestone in a fast-rising journey.

London based DJ/Producers Stretch & Vern have been two of the most recognised names in global dance music since they exploded onto the scene in 1996 with their worldwide hit 'I'm Alive', which was released on the iconic FFRR records. Their energetic DJ sets have seen them DJ at the worlds biggest clubs, Celebrity weddings, Fashion parties and film premiers. Their residencies and regular gigs include, Ministry of Sound, Manumission (Ibiza/Privilege & Space sets), GateCrasher, Matrix (Berlin), The Playboy WMC party (Miami), Germany's infamous Love Parade & Mayday Festivals, Cream, The Zap & Honey Clubs in Brighton & tours of Australia and Europe to name but a few…
Their DJ style over the years has always been based around disco infused, cool funky house music. Their recent DJ mix which was broadcast on the Loose Cannons Radio show on London's Kiss FM  was punctuated with their own productions and tracks from their favourite producers from the current nu disco scene. We are talking groovy disco music that just makes you want to dance……
  

The Producers

Stretch & Vern have been producing their own brand of house music for over 15 years now. Hightlights include 'I'm Alive' by Stretch & Vern feat Maddog. As well as selling over half a million singles, 'I'm Alive' featured on Coca Cola advert campaigns, was Radio One A-listed for over two months and has stayed on the airwaves ever since.  Ministry of Sound re released 'I'm Alive' this year with fresh new remixes from the likes of Louis La Roche, Tom Starr & Drum & Bass powerhouses Bcee & Mr Mess. Already featured on the MOS compilations The Annual 2011 & The Clubbers Guide 2011, and with DJ support from such icons as Pete Tong, Annie Mac & Annie Nightgale the track has been exposed to a whole new generation of clubbers and dance music fans.
Their own 'private' edits of the likes of Radiohead & Kings of Leon have seen the boys name checked on the Radiohead website and has taken their music into the hands of such respected DJ's as Sasha, Digweed & Nick Warren. 
Their prolific studio output has seen them collaborate and write for a whole host of artists and producers. Under different guises the boys have released records under such pseudonyms as ColourSound (Great Stuff Records), Reflekt (Positiva), and with the Grammy winning band 'Dirty Vegas' who featured on the boys single 'Love Me Better' under their 'EssenVee' guise on Pieces of 8 Records. 
Over the years the boys have remixes such iconic acts as Pulp, Robbie Williams, Westbam & St.Etienne. Their current studio work includes a remix for DIrty Vegas for the fourth single of their brand new 'Electric Love' album  for OM records. A collaboration with the legendary Sam Obernik (this could be the next Stretch & Vern single!!). And a whole host of brand new Stretch & Vern Productions. Hot-stepping into the disco jungle, Hot Gorilla Records blur the lines between disco, funk, house and reworked edits. And they come at you with one aim and one aim only - to make you go bananas on the dancefloor!

Founded by Andy Buchan and Conan The Selector in May 2020 as the pandemic hit, the duo brought some much-needed ‘good times’ to the disco scene. And when clubs did open up again, they were straight into action, touring the UK as DJ support for The Brand New Heavies including sold-out dates in Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham. 

Musically they strut the line between disco, funk and house, championing original music and heavily reworked edits. 

And they’ve had plenty of dance floor success including several Juno Download No.1s, multiple Traxsource Top 10s and four tracks in the Best of 2021 Beatport chart. 

The Hot Gorilla Records family currently includes founders Andy Buchan and Conan The Selector alongside guests like Fingerman, Chewy Rubs, Mannix, Monsieur Van Pratt, Akeem Raphael and a big troop of funky monkeys. 

And with an album on the way, a 2nd birthday to celebrate in May 2022 and gigs across the UK and beyond, Hot Gorilla Records will continue to bring the ‘Good Times’ as they make people go bananas on the dancefloor.
