I'm really feeling retro-pop today! 

This is a shortened cover of "Emotions" - a 2001 pop hit performed by Destiny's Child. If you're not familiar, you should look up the music video, and enjoy seeing baby Beyoncé! 

Words and Music by Barry Gibb and Robin Gibb; SSA choral arrangement by Alan Billingsley, but all parts done by me because pandemic. (Sigh.) 

I know I have completely the wrong voice to sing this style of music, but... I have a fond memory of singing this song at a fundraising banquet in the early 2000's with my lovely music school colleagues Janna and Sheena, complete with matching sparkly gold outfits and choreography! Good times in a past life... 

(For the record, I mean Sheena, as in the incomparable Sheena Rattai of Red Moon Road - if you don't know her, I highly recommend that you check them out. Her voice is INCREDIBLE and you will thank me, I swear. I so wish I had her on this track instead of me!)

This is about the consequences of bullying. Morgan was 13, bullied at school mercilessly and relentlessly, until she committed suicide. When I read about the case years ago I found it distressing and later was moved to write this song. Don’t have a personal connection to what happened, I just found it really sad.
