Biography:

I Used to play in a band in the 70's called HotSpanna (Rock/Blues/Covers band) which used to tour the North East of England in the 70's...

Not really played much guitar since start of the 80's due to uni/work/travel/family/businesses  etc...

Decided to try and get back to the level I was at when I was 19 (1979) in mid 2011. Now almost 12 months later (May 2012) I am about the same level as I was when I was 19.

Hoping to start playing in/forming a band and get back into gigging.

Enjoying the feel of the guitar again. Mainly use my old Ned Callan electric guitar which I bought second hand in 1977. It is one of the original luthier assembled models and has in my opinion a great sound and plays really well.

Executive Producer ￼Benz is an aspiring artist from Long Island, New York. Benz is known as the “Hook King” for his catchy hooks that can’t help but to make you, bop your head !.The first time Benz fell in love with music was when He was 10 years old. Ironically it was not a hip hop song that got him hooked it was “Sweet Lady” from Tyrese. From that day he knew making music was his passion, so he started playing with music. Countless remakes of( sweet lady ) with his own lyrics is where it began,it was just something about that HOOK that drew him in and it was just history from there. His first  hook was called “Riding on 24 ‘s” and from there He has never stopped working to perfect his craft. In 2016 , Benz created a HOOK called ( Luv MY Girl ) and Everyone that heard it was amazed. ‘Love My Girl’ has been played on New York City big radio station Power 105.1, as well as an interview with Thisis50.com. We’ve performed ( Luv my Girl )  at many  big events and even one of Miami biggest events for black history month that earned him a plaque from the city of Miami. This musical Journey of creating dope hooks has afforded him a chance to also work with the legend ( Pastor Troy ) on a song call ( Gotta Go) We’ve also had the opportunity to collab with ( Jeff cherry of MMG records )on a song called ( Hit her with that Zoe). 

Benz goals in this music industry is to become well-known for the go to man for those catchy HOOKS and to collab with other artists creating amazing music with unforgettable hooks. Hello! My name is Hans Henning Thomas. I think, I´m more a soundengineer than a songwriter and more a songwriter than really a singer/musician. I started to play guitar late, i.e. on the age of sixteen and had never learned an instrument before. So my first musical influences have been by songwriters, because I firstly payed most of my attention to the lyrics. My musical understanding developed at this time, moving away from home and hanging around with some friends. At this time I did my first steps by grounding a band. But we were influenced more by the era of such as the Doors, Rory Gallagher, Neil Young, Jimmy Hendrix, Pink Floyd or the first Deep Purple cast, - while the actual successful music at this time sadly was New German Wave and the like.

Later, after becoming an firstly unemployed physics, I followed my intention and turned my passion to trade, becoming a sound engineer. After all I got a well paid job in an public supported analog sound studio for a decade, recording and teaching some people in sound engineering. Some of my songs, published here, are a result from this era.

Now I´m working again as a physics / engineer, and music became my fervour again. In my life I lived in many different towns, in East and West Germany - i.e. Düsseldorf, Braunschweig, Paderborn, Berlin, (1/2 year Tropea, Calabria, Italy), Hagen Westf, Siegburg, Dresden (Neustadt) and now I turned to Rahden, Westf., again, where I live deep in the country in an integral nature reserve. The experiences, I got and the people I met, might be an insperation for my philosophy and my music.

Thanks to the new computer technologies, I was able to build myself a modern home recording studio again, to produce my own and my friends music in a good quality.

My intention for the next time is, to listen to the theme and sound of the nature and turn it to music. The Intro of my song "Wild Ducks Flying" ("Flieg mit dem Wind") is a good example for this project. It came up to me, when I recorded some wild ducks trough my open window, flying over my house. I loaded the samples into a software synthesizer and started to made music to it, leaning on the style of some early Pink Floyd projects. This song should be regarded to migrant birds in analogy to the human society, nowadays.

I plan to go on this way in my next holiday, at least for a month, recording and using the sounds of a forest at night and the like.
