Hospital Records proudly present a brand new seven-track EP from one of the most iconic voices in jungle drum & bass - the legendary Dynamite MC. Cutting his teeth in the genre alongside Roni Size’s Mercury Prize winning Reprazent collective back in the 90s, Dynamite has firmly cemented himself as a pioneer in the art of dance music MCing and vocalism. Years of history with Hospital Records, as well as being a frequent certified vibe bringer to Hospitality shows over the years, mean the south London drum & bass imprint is the perfect home for his highly anticipated standalone release, which features collaborations with; Royalston, Voltage, Makoto, Danny Byrd, Bop x Subwave, S.P.Y and Winslow.

EP title track ‘Deep Water’ dives straight in with Dynamite’s inspirational flows and lyricism, coupled with immaculate production from Royalston, who supplies a blissful concoction of keys, strings and tight drums to create a smooth rolling liquid masterpiece. ‘Legacy’ is a nod to Dynamite’s very own long standing career as one of the most respected MCs. Boasting over 25 years in the game, this track sees Dynamite take you on a raw and upfront history lesson atop a cold cut bouncer of an instrumental produced by Voltage.

Two drum & bass legends collide on ‘Everything’ as Dynamite teams up with the original soul supplier Makoto. As well as delivering sharp-edge flows, Dynamite lays down sweet harmonies and soothing toplines, showcasing his talent in fusing juxtaposing styles on the mic.

Brace yourself for a full throttle jungle slammer as Dynamite and Danny Byrd join forces on ‘Hit That’. With the pair having a long relationship of thrilling crowds around the world together, it’s only right they jumped in the studio to create a new wave anthem that is set to dish out maximum damage on the dancefloor.

‘In2’ takes a trip down the minimal avenue of drum & bass as two of Russia’s finest, Bop x Subwave, step up to the plate on production duties. Expect warming bars woven into a steppy beat as Dynamite proves he can tear up any instrumental, any style.

‘Lock It Off’ is a dark and dangerous drum & bass wobbler with fellow Hospital longtimer S.P.Y on the buttons. Guaranteed to lock off any rave with venomous flows and a fierce bassline, it should also be known that the art of mic controlling clearly runs in the blood as Dynamite’s son Muli MC also comes through with a killer feature.

Ending the release on a heartfelt note is ‘Little Bit More’, a divine liquid love ballad, home to the euphoria of Dynamite’s vocals. Produced by the next generation of Hospital, all the way from across the pond Winslow brings his dreamy instrumentation to the project, and demonstrates why he is quickly transitioning from drum & bass’ hottest newcomer to a staple artist of the scene.

Hailing from the north side of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Jam Thieves has been operating as a solo act since 2020.  Looking to build on his renowned versatility as a drum and bass producer working across various corners of the genre, Jam Thieves’ solo work usually centres around his iconic minimal style – full of funk, vocals and an undeniably upbeat vibe. 

The title track ‘Mandrake’ is the perfect example of this new direction, building around a looping female vocal the track develops and drops into a heavy bassline roller led by the funk-fuelled staccato drum work that drives the tune through ever developing turns. ‘Moon Rock’ continues this theme with more vocal edits and progressive bass modulations. 

When combined with the head-down, tech-funk work out of ‘Savana’ and the guitar fused deep roller of ‘Mind Control’ the EP demonstrates the versatility of this talented producer.

Shiba San & Tim Baresko 'All I Need'

Ant TC1 along with Hidden Agenda founded Dispatch Recordings back in 2001, Ant originally helped out with the management side of the label before finding his feet within the realms of production; which was a natural progression for him having DJ’d on pirate radio and in clubs from the age of 14 (since 1992).  His first release alongside frequent production partner Stress Level appeared on Dispatch after almost 3 years of hard work getting their collective sound where they felt it needed to be before even thinking about turning on a DAT recorder.  After their first release hit the stores they quickly picked up a wealth of DJ support across their early material and went on to release for a who’s who list of established Drum & Bass record labels including the likes of Renegade, CIA, Advanced, Critical Records Integral, Liquid V, Commercial Suicide, Good Looking Records, Bingo Beats and Samurai Music.

By demand remix work started to feature heavily within their output and the duo went on to remix for the likes of Hidden Agenda, Chris SU, Artificial Intelligence, Kabuki, Total Science, Optical & Ryme Time (Jagged Edge), Atlantic Connection, Tactile & DJ Marky.  Branching out and working with other producers such as Survival, DLR & Philth has only furthered experience Ant’s skills at the controls over the years, Ant has also released his own solo material more recently on top of remixing for the likes of Lomax on Integral Records.  In 2014 Ant realised a lifetime ambition, securing his first ever release for the legendary Metalheadz label “Hungry For Atmosphere” alongside Mako, DLR & Villem with further releases for the label and counting going into 2024.

Ant’s production output has featured on a mass of compilations and mix CD’s compiled by the likes of Shy FX, LTJ Bukem, Total Science, AI, Spectrasoul, Klute and Brian G.  Additionally his work has featured very heavily within the radio shows of Friction, Grooverider, Fabio, Goldie, Bailey & Rene LaVice on their respective BBC Radio 1 slots over the years as well as BBC 1Xtra where Ant once hosted his own one-off 4 hour show, he has since additionally made 2 guest DJ appearances for DJ Friction on his Radio 1 show.  His DJ’ing work has seen him play all over the globe from Adelaide to Los Angeles, from Hong Kong to Sarajevo, Vancouver to Bangkok and last but by no means least regularly UK and EU wide. Additionally for the most part of the decade beyond 2010 Ant also worked as the Artist Manager for both Outlook and Dimensions Festival in Croatia, leading up the booking process, budgets and travel aspects for the festival.

Fast forward through to 2024; Ant is now responsible for the lead label management roles of both Metalheadz & Dispatch Recordings and is based in Thailand, with a purpose built studio room recently finished the plan (alongside managing a mass of planned record label releases) is to get back to focusing on writing music more consistently than he ever has previously.
