Two years have flown by since the seminal Transit One album was dropped to critical acclaim and supported so universally across the board. The up and comers from the last project have since blossomed into today’s key tastemakers, paving the way for a wave of fresh new talent.

Now Ant TC1 has revealed plans for Transit 2 - a carefully selected palette of pure, technical drum & bass from producers across the globe and the latest various artists’ compilation from the esteemed Dispatch Recordings.

With the “Transit” series Dispatch Recordings strives to showcase the most exciting new talents alongside the established label favourites.  When faced with such a vast body of music from both previous contributors and newcomers to the label, the project quickly began to take shape and they have decided now is the time was right to bring to you this second chapter. 

With a variety of tracks stretching right across the spectrum, the album reaches into a number of alternative vibes and tempos whilst maintaining Dispatch’s famed level of quality. From the cool and callous “Apparatus” of Mindmapper & Fre4knc to the colossal beast that is Survival & Silent Witness’ “Paddy” and no less than two exclusive cuts from DLR, Transit 2 provides an assortment of technical brilliance over just one album. 

Other tracks dip in and out of the dance-floor mould to provide a real contrast and depth to the project, making this complete package such an essential catalogue of future beats.  Set to drop on November 11 check out an exclusive mini-mix by DLR of the compilation to give you a flavour of what is to come...

Superheroes Anonymous 5:  Road Trip Edition

Tinlicker strike again on Sotto Voce, their second release on Feed Me’s imprint takes things up a notch for 2015. Out exclusively on Beatport on the 14th April, and other platforms worldwide on the 28th April. The kaleidoscopic synth tinged 5-track EP “Into The Open”, is an epic journey from start to finish. The EP sees collaborations with Devries on the title track, and amazing euphoric, awe-inspiring vocals from Laura Louise on “Gazoline”.

This EP combines the hugely in-vogue modulating 80s synth-techno with the atmospherics expected from a Brian Eno project, backed by the thumping, crisp percussion, spanning across, spacious loose-limbed headphone pieces and tough, floor-focused club tracks. This innovative duo have sculpted a unique sound of their own, and made a home with the Sotto Voce family. 

Tinlicker commented, "We're so excited for the release to come out, it’s like having to wait for your pizza to cool off before you can take bite”

We've been admirers of Jimpster from afar for many a year. He's spent a solid two decades remixing and DJing, playing in the sadly now defunct The Bays, run his very own Freerange Records for 15 of those, as well as the offshoot, yet equally as interesting Delusions of Grandeur on the side. He's probably not someone who gets to spend an awful lot of time putting his feet up with a nice brew but his hard work certainly pays off as there's a mighty fine selection of records with his name attached to them in some form or another. In one of his brief, quieter moments we manged to cajole Jimpster into putting together a nice juicy Ransom Note mix for you to slip into as if it were a warm bath, filled to the brim with scented bubbles.

Vandera Mix 06 in E♭ Minor: 60 tracks in 60 minutes

Ant TC1 along with Hidden Agenda founded Dispatch Recordings back in 2001, Ant originally helped out with the management side of the label before finding his feet within the realms of production; which was a natural progression for him having DJ’d on pirate radio and in clubs from the age of 14 (since 1992).  His first release alongside frequent production partner Stress Level appeared on Dispatch after almost 3 years of hard work getting their collective sound where they felt it needed to be before even thinking about turning on a DAT recorder.  After their first release hit the stores they quickly picked up a wealth of DJ support across their early material and went on to release for a who’s who list of established Drum & Bass record labels including the likes of Renegade, CIA, Advanced, Critical Records Integral, Liquid V, Commercial Suicide, Good Looking Records, Bingo Beats and Samurai Music.

By demand remix work started to feature heavily within their output and the duo went on to remix for the likes of Hidden Agenda, Chris SU, Artificial Intelligence, Kabuki, Total Science, Optical & Ryme Time (Jagged Edge), Atlantic Connection, Tactile & DJ Marky.  Branching out and working with other producers such as Survival, DLR & Philth has only furthered experience Ant’s skills at the controls over the years, Ant has also released his own solo material more recently on top of remixing for the likes of Lomax on Integral Records.  In 2014 Ant realised a lifetime ambition, securing his first ever release for the legendary Metalheadz label “Hungry For Atmosphere” alongside Mako, DLR & Villem with further releases for the label and counting going into 2024.

Ant’s production output has featured on a mass of compilations and mix CD’s compiled by the likes of Shy FX, LTJ Bukem, Total Science, AI, Spectrasoul, Klute and Brian G.  Additionally his work has featured very heavily within the radio shows of Friction, Grooverider, Fabio, Goldie, Bailey & Rene LaVice on their respective BBC Radio 1 slots over the years as well as BBC 1Xtra where Ant once hosted his own one-off 4 hour show, he has since additionally made 2 guest DJ appearances for DJ Friction on his Radio 1 show.  His DJ’ing work has seen him play all over the globe from Adelaide to Los Angeles, from Hong Kong to Sarajevo, Vancouver to Bangkok and last but by no means least regularly UK and EU wide. Additionally for the most part of the decade beyond 2010 Ant also worked as the Artist Manager for both Outlook and Dimensions Festival in Croatia, leading up the booking process, budgets and travel aspects for the festival.

Fast forward through to 2024; Ant is now responsible for the lead label management roles of both Metalheadz & Dispatch Recordings and is based in Thailand, with a purpose built studio room recently finished the plan (alongside managing a mass of planned record label releases) is to get back to focusing on writing music more consistently than he ever has previously.
